Not sure if I posted in the right board....
I recently purchased an 32 in LCD with 1080p and 120hz.
I have a feeling that there are current lag issues with the playback at 120hz on Blu-Ray. When I go to advanced video setting on the TV, the 120hz is put to "High" and the picture quality at times is staggering and you can clearly tell the motion enhancements are working. But then I definitely notice that it's not catching up with the picture or there is some blurring when motion gets faster.
I noticed it with Shawshank, which isn't an action film -- a prison film. The detail and depth are amazing for the most part but it seems like it's having a hard time "catching up" which means LAG to me. The blurring is somewhat obvious but not ridiculously distracting. I'm just worried to see how it'll look on a much faster paced film, like Inception; which I have.
I'm not sure about the settings on my Sony BDP-S270 Blu-Ray Player that would enable me to fix it. It is output at 1080p just fine. I even checked the packaging of my HDMI cable. It's made by Monster -- says it can handle 60hz, 120hz, or 240hz.
Any help would be appreciated!! Someone recommended checking resolutions on both BR player and TV??
What would be the calibration settings/recommendations for this TV on Blu-Ray films, so that there is no lag or blurring??
