Harmony 1100 vs. iPad+iRule

Thread Starter
I am building a classroom setup with HDMI over IP solutions + remote capabilities at the podium (capable of controlling room light, projector on/off, room audio volume... etc) Does anyone know if iPad + iRule is better or should I just go with a Harmony 1100 which also has a large display.

I like the idea that you can customize alot of things via iRule, but it seems alot of work is involved to get one fully running, while a Harmony 1100 is a device that is intended for this purpose.

What do you guys think? Thanks!

I used to sell a lot of Harmonies in the past and I just started messing around with iRule. I am looking to use the iRule in upcoming job that has like 40 devices. So far, iRule is pretty nice. Like anything new there is a learning curve but it seems pretty easy. They have a trial on their website. Check it out!!!! I spoke to one of the reps at iRule and he seemed pretty cool. I am going to replace my Nevo at home with the iRule.
