Hi all,
I recently built an HTPC with an Intel DH55TC motherboard. I figured it would be a good idea to update the BIOS so I gave it a shot. I now realize that was unnecessary and ill-advised...but anyway.

I ran Intel's express BIOS update program, TCIBX10H.86A.0040.EB.EXE. It rebooted the first time and went to a black screen with only 2 lines of identification info at the top. There was nothing about current version, new version, status, etc. After about 2 min. it rebooted again and started Win7. At that point I got an Intel window saying that the update was successful.

I re-checked the BIOS version in SIW.exe. It was still at 0037 (I was expecting 0040). Then I restarted and went into the BIOS setup. The version there was also 0037 still.

The PC is working fine, but I am a bit worried about it.

Has anyone ever seen this or know what might have happened. I am hoping that the update failed and did nothing.
