Anyone else LOL when Phil immediately started explaining the consequences of coming last after the two had this whole emotional "I would die for this guy" moment?!
I caught my 1st eepisode this past Sunday Jaymes and James really really annoyed me for some reason saying "asalaam alikum"to everyone, regarldless of if they were muslim or not.....I can udnerstand that Bangledesh has a very large Muslim population, but it just rubbed me the wrong way for some reason......The looks from the locals when they said it were priceless though lol....

Sometimes the attempt to converse with the natives can be annoying .. the players know one phrase and they just keep using it ..
A few seasons ago when there was a Chinese pair of contestants, when they got to China the girl kept saying something like .. she, she or some such .. I guess it was thank you .. or maybe it meant go faster .. I can't remember, but it got to be annoying ..

Its one thing if its a sinceere attempt, I dont know if it was the way they were saying it or something else, but it was alsmot like they were mocking it...I for one am not Muslim, but know better than to use that saying while running away from someone.....

I believe it was Xièxiè, which is the equivalent of "thank you".
I'm glad they actually showed the roadblock card this time and I wish they'd always show exactly what it said. I was perplexed at why everyone was choosing the bamboo task when it a delivery since everyone knows that any task that involves travel is to be avoided due to the risk of getting lost.
But after reading the actual card, it sounded like you had to travel to deliver the jute to the mill, so almost everyone picking bamboo made a little more sense.
I was seriously going to apply to be on this show. But after seeing the speedbump, there is no way in hell I could complete a challenge of that difficulty.

That ranked up there with a Speed Bump a few seasons back when a father and son had to sit on a block of ice for 5 minutes before moving on.

No I am not, the only thing that would make that challenge even more impossible, would be to of added caramel and whip cream. I think the challenge of eating a tasty treat with flavors of your choice might take out most people on the show. Those guys just powered through it like champs and deserve their spot.

I still don't see any difference between that and the scrub down .. they were equally difficult .. in fact, the ice cream challenge may have been a bit more tough ..

The scrub down/massage thing did seem to have SOME pain involved. Could of been editing though. The guys doing the speedbump really showed they are the best team. They both ate TWO cones each, not many could of pulled that amazing feat off and still come in 5th place or whatever it was.
What I found interesting is that most of the teams that did the physical challenge did so because on previous seasons, the physical task was usually the faster one.
I wish they would've just repeated the one from the last season (or was it two seasons ago) in Khazakhstan (I think?) where they gave the people a crude oil bath. Or maybe have them sit in a mud pit for 30 minutes first and then go for the scrubbing.

You have to admit, though, the ice cream vendors show was pretty good ..
Anyone have any thoughts about the twins taking the rockers $100? I personally thought it was a tragic turn in terms of sportsmanship and ethics. And from that they went from one of the teams that I was more entertained by to actually hoping they finished last last night.

Pretty much felt the same way .. and was gratified to see the locals pitch in some cash .. $100 has got to be some real money in that part of the World ..

Even they knew it was wrong, just makes me dislike them even more. At least we didnt have to hear any TWINNY BS last night.
Yeah, the theft was a classless move all around. It is one thing if they were just a gung-ho team of two jerks who took the money and never looked back, but it was quite clear from their discussions and comments afterwards that it was weighing on them - and they still kept it. Unforgivable.

I thought they weren't allowed to break any local laws. Isn't that why they stopped taking away their money and making them beg on the non-elimination saves? So I'm a bit perplexed as to why they were allowed to steal money without a penalty.
When the rockers find out, I wonder if they could file charges against the twins and have them arrested and extradited to Bangladesh for prosecution? Which makes me wonder if $100 is big enough to be the equivalent of a felony rather than a misdemeanor in Bangladesh.
Anyway I been holding back on this until monster truck got eliminated, so here it is:
P.S. Oh and by the way, doesn't their inaction make the producers of TAR an accessory to the crime? They have it on film and obviously must have known about it, so they can't claim ignorance.
