Onkyo TX-SR608 vs Onkyo HT-RC270 (is Audyssey MultEQ worth it)?

I'm debating between these two receivers and while the RC270 has all the extra features of the network port this doesn't really interest me (today). The key difference for me is the Audyssey MultEQ upgrade over Audyssey 2EQ. With the price delta between the boxes being about $100 I'm wondering is this worth it for that one feature?

The RC-270 also has pre-outs if you ever wanted to add an external amp. It also works with an Ipod/Iphone with OSD, has a USB in for any future software upgrades, can handle 4 ohm speakers, the remote has a few more features and a couple other thing I'm sure I'm not listing.

I was also looking to get the onkyo 608 or the rc270. I am now leaning more towards the 708. I heard it was best to get one with the internet connection so it can do firmware updates.

I believe the rc270 and the 708 are virtually identical but the the rc270 is available for quite a bit less. If you search here there is a thread that highlights the few differences.
