Need advice 7.1 or 7.2

Hey all,

I need some experienced input. I have been researching for a good month now on different models and decided down the road i would like to have the option of running 2 subs however when looking at 7.2 models the choices are much more limited. I'm still up in the air as to which models (yammi, onkyo, sony, etc) in the 250 to 400 dollar range.

My main question is is a 7.1 with a split sub output much different than a 7.2?
I'm no audiophile, but just love ball busting bass that shakes the house.

Seems like the onkyos deliver the best bang for your buck (ala 608 or 260) but the video upscaling problem has prevented me from pulling the trigger. I would be mainly using it for games, and a few movies every now and then and from what I have read even on games the video is slightly degraded.

B/c of this I'm pulled to the sony 810 and was thinking about running a sub splitter

Could anyone comment on this as well?

Thanks to all

At that price, the only 7.2 systems you'll find use a simple internal RCA splitter -- as opposed to two separate and unique sub channels. Solution? Buy any 7.1 system and use an external RCA splitter.

The end result will be identical. It's that simple.
