Playing MKVs with digital audio on analog speakers with MPC-HC?

I have my HTPC set up to bitstream MKVs with DTS-MA and TrueHD. However, I am having troubles streaming/playing the same files on my laptop & Son's PC.

I am using MPC-HC on all the computers. Eveything plays fine on the main computer. However, I get skipping and dropped sound on the other PCs. The laptop and son's machines are both powerful enough. My son's computer never goes above 17% while playing the MKVs.

I only have MPC-HC loaded, do I need FFDSHOW? Or other programs to play MKVs with only the digital audio tracks? Both other machines only have analog speakers.

I thought that maybe there was not sufficient bandwith on the wireless. So, I copied the whole MKV file. But it still skips/drops sound every 6 seconds or so.

ETA: Files are 1080p. My son's computer is 1600x900 resolution.

All speakers are analog so that is not the issue. HD audio is not natively supported on many pcs. You need codecs to play try Shark 007 which includes the ffshow codecs needed. You don't want to bit stream unless you you are outputing to an device like a Reciever. Even over fast wireless bandwith might be a issue but you should be able to play local.

Hope this helps.
