There seems to be a fair amount of "it depends" when determining whether or not it will work--mostly related to the components involved in the HDMI chain. If you have the 819 passing through, then I would guess you wouldn't have an issue with the 819. |
Actually, I think he was referring to simply passing audio along with video to the tv speakers during normal use, which is a slightly different question and function than "standby hdmi passthrough."
If I'm correct, then the OP would simply need to set the hdmi to "through" by using the "AUDIO Parameters" function on the remote while that particular input is selected, and the receiver itself is turned ON. Doing so would route both audio and video to the TV.
