IMO - there is no "obvious game room stuff". A pool table is a huge space hog - only four max can play at a time and few people actually know how to play pool. Glad we sold ours OR you might like making one a center piece of your game room. What are your preferences? Pool table could be perfect for you.

What are the dimensions of the space and what are your personal tastes?
Our desire was to create a bar, game room and theater with a commercial tavern or bar theme. Space is 17X24 - floor space has a large bar with big, comfy bar chairs, projector and screen for Theater and 7 pinballs, foosball and stand up darts (with a couple of other arcade games thrown in).
We picked a name and theme for our space, created a logo and had custom decorations made including an incredible custom neon sign. There are 10 commercial beer neons along with mirrors and other light up displays.
Where do we get them? ANYWHERE WE CAN FIND THEM! Pawn shops, Craigslist, garage sales, online forums/groups, auctions and etc.
We live near Gainesville, FL so we are citizens of the Gator Nation and same neon sign maker created a large, custom Gator neon sign. I found a large, preserved gator head at a stand on the side of a road and it sits on a corner of our bar.
You can have custom banners made for around $100.00.
Pick a theme and then be creative and implement around that theme.
