Just made the purchase directly with Mitsubishi and will report back with results with the adapter on this thread. Hopefully this works better and is improved over the geffen option.

Did you buy the just the adapter or the entire kit? How much was it if you don't mind me asking? The main thing that I want to know with the new adapter is whether or not you can pass full surround audio through it if it is upstream of the receiver. This is an important issue for all of us who only own HDMI 1.3 Receivers. Congratulations on your purchase and I look forward to hearing about your results.

Hey Geaux.... I bought the whole kit for $480 with taxes and shipping. This is cheaper than the kit I bought from TRU3d which came out to $569.99. I'm hoping to find out the audio situation for you Geaux and everybody else who is stuck using Toslink cable for full surround. I'm assuming they custom built these adapters for the plug and play that mits owners are currently enjoying without the loss of surround sound. Maybe thats what took so long for this to finally be released.

Remember I do have a 1.4a Onkyo so my results wont help 1.3 owners, but I will try to borrow somebodies 1.3 receiver and test with that.

Currently no...sorry. on the box of the 3dc-100s it says samsung plasma will not work.

Other than reprogramming the Mits 3D adapter to work with Samsung DLP sets I do not see that Mits made any other changes so whatever problems people have had with the Mits adapter and the modified Samsung EDID should probably remain with this new adapter.

Apparently this product is so new that nobody from Mitsubishi even knew this was on their website for sale. And the dealer that sells it, unisentvoffer doesnt know that they are selling it. WTF

I called mitsubishi and they verified that it is on their website. They also verified that unisentvoffer.com is an authorized mitsubishi vender.

Nobody knows what this product is..but they know how to get to my bank account and withdraw my money and give me a confirmation email to boot.

This 3d adapter thing with gefen and now this is giving me one big ass headache.

Am I the only one who went out and bought this new unit?

Sweet! This is awesome. Glad to see that Mitsubishi and Samsung have finally come to some sort of arrangement on this. I've been following this drama for over a year now and have almost started down the geffen path or the edid change path on my Samsung HL67A750. Buying the Samsung UN46C8000 for my bedroom stopped my wanting 3D on the big DLP for a while, but now that this is out I may just have to pull the trigger.

Wonder which glasses will be compatible with this to buy as extras and also whether it will work with a PS3.

Well, since it is basically the same starter pack as the 3DC-1000 it comes with 2 pairs of IR Samsung/Mitsubishi shutter glasses. Just grab any other IR compatible glasses and you'll be fine. I am pretty sure most of the named brands (and the Ultra Clear) use this type of IR sensor.

The 3DA-1 works with the PS3, so this will as well. FYI - it also works with a TiVoHD on Comcast (Espn 3D).

The EDID change is as simple as it gets.

I am going to say this "should" all work. This new kit is the same exact kit as the 3DC-1000 starter pack, the only difference is the adapter reads Samsung EDID's now as well. The glasses are the same. I can only assume the adapter works with your blu-ray player, I see no good reason why it wouldn't.

All this info I got via research, not by doing it, so I am not 100% positive but pretty darn sure.

I see where it says that this is compatible with the HLT-7288S but I have the HLT-7288W, whats the difference between the two and would you assume the adapter would work on my set?

The adapter converts many 3D formats to checkerboard. If you set is like most older Samsung DLP sets, they are checkerboard compatible. That is why they do not work with current 3D, my TiVo and PS3 output top/bottom 3D. Our sets don't know how to decode top/bottom only checkerboard. So, read your manual, if your 3D Ready set supports checkerboard then the adapter should work for you IMO.

I bought one Friday just before 2pm EST. Got the confirmation email but no word on when it'll ship. Did you (or anyone else here that bought it) get anything about when it'll ship?

Hey Guys....I Bought mines late Wednesday night before they even announced it officially for sale. We all got the same confirmation email. Ive been trying to call them everyday to find out when they plan on shipping them, or if what we bought are preorders. Since it so new the Customer service has been no help! Maybe next week they should ship it out. Ill keep you guys posted Monday if I received shipping info for mines.

So far customer service from Mitsubishi about this adapter has been horrendous. As a FYI.. Unicentvoffer.com has their own customer service that we are suppose to contact...not Mitsubishi-TV.


If the order number starts with " UTV " like mines it means UnisenTv.


Others who bought this kit please list when you purchased it, and when you receive it so prospective buyers can expect shipping times.

Bought mine yesterday, The E-mail said I would get a new E-mail with shipping number when the item ships. So either it's backlogged or their still working on it since I ordered on a Saturday.

Would you please be able to use MonInfo and read the EDID of the 3dc-100s and post the EDID here. Many of us here use the 3da1 + Samsung modified EDID to emulate a Mitsubishi DLP and will like to see the diferences between the
3da1 and the 3dc-100s EDID`S. Thank you

We are trying to get the thing first!

Supposedly Mitsubishi updated and upgraded this unit from the other 3da-1. Only MonInfo will be able to tell if this is true or not. I'm sure one of us who bought the new one will put it up as soon as we get it.

I Will be making another phone call to unicentv today to try to get some info on shipping.. For those of you on the same boat please report back on anything you find out when you call.

For some reason, this new adapter still has the "too good to be true" vibe even though my money is gone! I need to have this in my house now! :-)

*Special thanks to Mitsubishi Rep Able, the only one that took the extra effort to finally ask the higher ups about this adapter in which nobody knew about, and finally point me in the right direction to get the answer we all waited to hear. The adapter does exist, and its ready to ship!!!!!!!!*

I just called them as well and the rep was zero help. He just wanted me off the phone as fast as he could. First he said that the website orders can take 7-10 days to ship, I mentioned to him that their website says that most orders ship same day if ordered before 2pm EST. Then he said that it'll probably ship today in that case. I just hung up after that.
