I believe my Polk audio M30s could possiably be blown Ebay polk direct refurbished.

I'm listening to FM radio (I have excellent FM recption) speakers are sounding great at low, mid an a tad higher volume then all of a sudden I hear blip then a vibration just like a blow speaker would sound.

These blips and vibration ocure intermitantly when listening to FM radio.

I have yet to hear it on my only other audio source the TV.

?1.are my refurbished speakers on there way to being completely blown?

?2. could the FM signal weaken and create this condition?

So from I am dissapointed in the blipping I'm hearing

I'm now thinking I should have gotten new speakers however doesn't Polk test them before there sent out?

Thanks

Do you hear this with any other input? If so it could be the speakers\\connection. If not then it would IMO point to a different issue.

Do you have any way to check using a different radio source (perhaps from the computer and online)?

I would think it to be a result of something in the FM signal if you cannot duplicate it in other sources.

OK I'll connect a 3.5mm to the headphone output of my laptop then plug the other end Yed RCA into the back of stereo I'll use tape 2 as an input. However I don't know how to tune in online radio stations maybe just listen to a few Youtube vids. for testing purposes?

edit: I have just been listening to the old Phono and am not hearing the blip.

it's not just my favorite station it's others to and these stations are broadcast in high def. radio I always hear excellent nice clear zero blips on my backyard Sony Table top HD radio.

If it means anything these speakers sound great minus the bliping on the radio. remember it's only intermitantly happening

also I allways listen at very low volume.

? will this blipping destroy my new speaker?

?can I use my little Sony HD radio as an FM source it has an 3.5mm headphone jack maybe I can connect it w/ the Yed cable?

Thanks Guy's

I've connected the speakers w/ brand new 14AWG wire from Monoprice.

I started at finger tight and still heard the blipping so I then used a wrench to snug them even more not overtightening though.

Since you dont hear it on other sources it doent sound like its the speakers IMO. it sounds like either a signal issue with the stations (with your receiver).

if I continue to listen to this reciever ? will this blipping destroy my new speaker?

remember it's only intermitant.

edit: I actulley don't need an FM antena to recieve any of the stations around here, however I did add a speaker wire T antena still got the blipping.
