Crossover Setting

You should find another setting that is usually titled LPF for LFE (I don't see it in the manual). This is the low pass filter of the .1 channel. It only affects the .1 channel and not the redirected bass from the other channels. It should be set to 120. Conventional wisdom recommends you override the Audyssey crossover and set it to 80. Also make sure all speaker channels are set to small, Dynamic EQ set to on, Dynamic Volume set to off, and the crossover on the sub is disabled or set to its highest setting.

Dynamic Volume compresses the sounds & is typically used when you want to listen late at night, and don't want to subject your family to fluctuations in decibel levels - when a commercial comes on, or an explosion occurs in a movie. Onkyo, not Audyssey, sets the crossover at 50hz. Also note that you may experiment by raising your crossover to 80hz for the satellite speakers, and raise the LFE to 120hz.
