Today I'm going to box up about 20 JBL surrounds from that group buy, then I'm done with that for a while. Once I get a good method down for boxing up these Anarchy kits, it will go pretty fast.

Definately want one. Shoot me a price and paypal addy and I will enrich you.

Though being a Horticulturist, I know how flush with cash a landscaper is coming out of winter . Turning the corner is always the worst part of the year with all the outlay on gear and labor.

I will take two kits if they are still available. PM'ing you now. Thank you for all of the time and effort putting this together Erich!

Guys, I've decided that it makes sense to just put the gasket material in with each flat pack for nothing extra. I'm heading up to PE tomorrow and get some more. It's not expensive and each one doesn't need that much.

That's something most guys don't have laying around and it's really cheap anyway.

Here's my reasoning. The first test box they cut was a bit tight when I dry fitted it. So they cut a second test box with a little "slop" in one side panel. Well, I was going to buy 2 boxes, and the first test box ended up being a spare, but I can use the box. I'll take the $70 saved from that enclosure and spend it on the gasket material.

It's just this stuff:

http://www.parts-express.com/pe/show...number=260-540

I've got a decent number boxed up, but haven't sent out too many yet. To the guys that I did ship to, let me know if you need this stuff and I'll mail it to you. No big deal.

So are you taking payment via paypal to the email address on your website? $186.54 for two?

No, I'll contact you when I print up the shipping label. It's kind of difficult right now contacting every single with the same info all at once. That would take hours per night. So I try to do it when I know exactly the day your stuff is ready to go out. I don't want people to pay and wait for their stuff for a week or more. I don't think that's fair. Don't worry, your stuff won't go to anyone else.

Cool. I just want to make sure I fullfill my commitment to you in a timely
fashion.

No worries. I'll also send you the info to get the Anarchy woofer at his discounted price. I think it was $20 less or something like that.

Cool, I'm getting excited again now that they are finally being shipped!! And not to complain, but I'm just curious - I got in pretty early on calling dibs on a pair of them, in fact I'm 4th on the list at diysoundgroup.com, but I see you're shipping them out in a random order rather than just going down the list in order. Again, I'm not complaining, I know you're busting your hump to get these out for everyone and your work is very much appreciated, I'm just anxious to get mine!

It does feel a bit like being a kid at Christmas again, doesn't it.

This should be fun for the kids in my house as well. Since there will be something they can help build with Daddy. That will be the best part.

I'm going by who sent me their address first. If I went right down the list I might be waiting for someone to send me their info for a week and that wouldn't work too well.

Don't worry though, if you're on the list, you'll get one. I just need addresses!

I had them make 100 flat packs, so it won't be a problem.

I emailed you my shipping address back on 3/23 but never heard back from you with shipping costs or payment instructions. I'm ready to roll, just let me know how much and where to send it. Thx!

Hmmm, I just checked and didn't see your PM. Go ahead and send it again. Not sure how I missed it.
Is it too late to add a second one to my order? I think I have a good use for another one.
I pm'ed my shipping address on 3/21 and have not heard anything as well.

Can you keep us updated on where you are on your "received shipping address" list so we can determine if we were missed or not?

Thanks,
Darrell

I actually sent it via email to erich@diysoundgroup.com. And you did reply to my email, but you just answered some questions I had about how to get the Anarchy woofer with the discount but never mentioned anything about shipping costs or payment instruction. No biggie, I just re-sent my info via PM.

I'm sorry guys, you have to understand how hard it is to track this. Someone's name on here might be SwissCheese02. Then they send an email to the site and the 'From' section will read RBH, then their real name is Bob Hammond. If they don't let me know they're SwisshCheese02, that's wants 3 JBL surrounds, it's difficult to remember and track. Imagine trying to find What Bob initially wanted when his email shows up as RBH and he goes by Swisscheese on here. You have to literally dig through 200 emails every time.

Then to make it harder, I may get a question on the other site asking about shipping to Maine. I send them a message back asking for zipcode. They contact me on here with just the zip code, that's it. I go back to the site to figure what they want and give them the total. Then a week later they send me a simple message her saying "Yes, I'm fine with shipping".....but they didn't quote the conversation we had before. So then I have no idea what they wanted, who they are, where they want it shipped, etc. So I go back through all my sent messages to find that info.

So you can imagine how many messages I'm trying to track. And I can't delete them because there's 8 messages for each person, and 3 names for each person. I'm NOT complaining, I'm just letting you guys know how hard it is and why it takes some time.

I PROMISE If you're on the list, you will have first dibs on the items. Darrell, I have your info, no worries.

jleonard711, I believe I found your email from the web site.

The "from" email was showing up only as Custum G### Cen###. When you PM'ed me here today and signed with your name, I went hunting for any emails that were from someone with your name. See what I'm saying.....it's like a treasure hunt! But your name doesn't show up in the 'From' section of the email. So I thought "Hmmm, maybe he's from "Cust## Go## Cen###".......and there it was!

Bingo!!!

As mentioned, I'm really not complaining. I'm just letting you guys know that I really am trying. I need to set up a contact page with a form to fill out or something.

I actually did put my forum name in the email and I mentioned that it was for 2 Anarchy flatpacks. But it's all good, like I said I'm not complaining, I'm sure it's a lot of work getting all of this stuff organized and shipped out. I just wanted to make sure I hadn't slipped through the cracks, but I guess I did so I'm glad I followed up. Thanks!

Yeh, I know, the problem was that I didn't realize "Cust## Go## Cen###" was you and I simply didn't connect the dots.

Like I mentioned, I'm not going nuts or anything, you'd still get the flat pack eventually as I went through all the emails one by one. I just couldn't find it yesterday when you asked.
I called on the discount on the driver. All you have to do is order it normally and put a comment in the box when you check out. The driver will price out normally but the discount will be applied before your card is billed. At least that's what I was told. Mine should be here Wednesday.

Folks should put their avs moniker in the email subject title...that should clear up confusion.

How much better is the Anarchy 6.5" in this box than the Tang Band 6.5" (W6-1139SI)? I remember seeing in the original build thread that they were going to try it with the Tang Band since it seemed like a comparable replacement, but I don't recall seeing any test results posted.

I'm asking because a pair of Anarchy drivers are $130 + $18-$20 shipping = $148-$150, and a pair of the Tang Bands are $122.64 - $5 coupon = $117.64 w/free shipping. So the Tang Bands are about $30-$32 cheaper for a pair of them, and if they are going to perform about the same then it seem obvious to go with the those instead. Plus I'll be needing a few other things from P.E. anyways such as a terminal, wires, etc, and those would ship free with the drivers.
The W6-1139SI works fine according to the model. I have not measured this horn with a W6-1139 in it.

That is another one of those things I need to do one of these days.....

I know the Anarchy sounds good.
Hmmmm. Anyone on here ever tried this horn with the Tang Band? I know with other horn subs there have been several drivers that have worked as well as the one that it was designed around, just as long as the specs are pretty close to the same. Trying to decide if it's worth the $30 gamble if nobody has actually tried it...
Where do we sign up for this sub? I thought I had been put on the list but have not received notification yet.

You are on the list:

http://www.diysoundgroup.com/Anarchy_Group_Buy.htm

Don't worry, I won't sell any that are on hold by guys on the list.

I should have the majority of these shipped out by next week. Right now I'm only doing about 5-6 per night. I think I have about 25-30 boxed up or shipped. But by the end of the week I'll really start moving on them.

I'm in the process of typing up instructions right now. It is pretty simply and only goes together one way, but I'm still going to get some directions put together.

I read somewhere that when using Premium PL, its best to dampen the mating surfaces before applying the glue. Has anyone else heard this?

I've never done that and never had a problem. Maybe you're thinking of Gorilla Glue?
Oh, I thought Gorilla Glue and Premium PL were very similar. Is that not true?

Thanks,
Darrell
