Vertical line on the right edge of display that makes colors lighter?

I recently built a HTPC using a ASUS P7H55-M PRO Motherboard & Core i3 540 CPU.

I have it connected via HDMI cable to a Sony Bravia KDL-46S4100 1080P HDTV.

I'm getting a ~1 pixel vertical line down the right edge of the screen, its not a constant color but any colors that would be displayed on that line are displayed at a brighter setting...

Like if I'm looking at a dark red screen, that little line would be pink.

Its mostly noticable on darker colors, but for some reason when its black then the effect doesn't show...

I don't think its the line of pixels in the TV because I can change overscan on both the TV and by the control panel inside Windows 7 and the line moves with the edge of the picture.

Things I've noticed while trying to trouble shoot this:
-If I print screen my desktop, the line isn't in the resulting picture.

-If I go into the Intel graphics properties and flip the screen rotation 180 degrees, the line is still on the right side of the screen

-Before I built this HTPC I would hook up my gaming computer to this TV occasionally with a DVI --> HDMI cable and never noticed this effect

This leads me to thinking it has something to do with my HTPC and its connection to my HDTV, but thats where I'm stuck...

I know I could probably overscan it so it wouldn't be visible, but for me thats a workaround and not a fix.

Thanks for any help you can shed!

Sounds like the well known Win 7 issue. Fixed in a hotfix found here: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1282834

I knew there was a reason why I bookmarked that thread.

Thanks for the suggestion, I tried that hotfix but it didn't do anything (it looked like it was for a different problem anyways)

Playing around with it more, I've found out that if I set my HTPC resolution to 720P, the line is now on the left edge of the desktop, and if I rotate it 180 degrees it stays on the left.

very weird. Set my resolution to 800x600 and the display area is a lot smaller than my HDTV (lots of black space all around) but then the left, top, and right edges all have a line of lighter color to them...
