I have been reading a lot of these threads on $200-$400 subs and quite frankly my brain is now much.

I use my system for everything (front projector) from TV, movies, music (dvda sacd). Right now is not the time to drop a wad on a sub so I need to pick up something that will fill the gap. I want a sub that can handle movies but also warm up nicely to music.

I run Klipsch La Scala's as my mains, Heresy side surrounds and some smaller klipsch in the rear. Center custom built using 2 10" klipsch woofers and the same hf horn and mid horn that are in the Heresy's. I am/were running 2 KSW12 subs. One has died and the other is showing signs.

I want to replace one of the dead horses now

I see a lot of people speaking highly of the PL200 especially for the price

I am also looking at the JBL ES250P which can be had for a good price. A sub for music is important too.

I am asking a lot for a small budget so out of these two only what are your thoughts

Both are close in spec but I know this never tells the true story

PL200 500w p1000w
FR 22Hz - 200Hz
adjustable crossover & volume controls

JBLES250 400w p 700w
FR 25Hz - 150Hz
Crossover Frequencies 50Hz - 150Hz; 24dB/octave, continuously variable

Thanks in advance... don't tell me get this other one or that other one... just on these two only
