Samsung DLP & Black Dots

So samsung has offered to replace my DMD chip since I did have some dead pixels but the repair guy came and told me he thinks the black dots all over the scree is the screen and will cost me $250?

I feel like he is trying to rip me off since he has to repair the chip as he is a authorized samsung repair guy

anyone have the black dot issue ?

There is a "white dots" thread. $250 fro a repair is cheap. He is certainly NOT "ripping you " off. Almost no one does component repair, it's just board swaps. The time it tkaes to rework small components (other than caps for example) and the equipment needed isn't worth the labor time. labor rates aren't what they are in China.

HAVE SOLVE THIS ISSUE?? WOULD YOU PLS SHARE THE SOLUTION, DUE HAVE SAME ISSUE WITH MY HLT5675SX/XAA , ALSO IF CAN PROVIDE THE CODE OF THE SUCH DMD-CHIP IN ORDER TO SEARCH IT.
