The problem I find with most of these reviews is that they treat the death aspect of these games as very black and white. Death in Demons souls was gray. You returned in soul form! Venture off to help another player, learn the board, revive to corporeal and do it again. Death was not the punishment reviewers would have you believe. It also never felt cheap. You were aware of what was on the line and if you needed to you could retreat. This isn't bulletstorm(which I loved) where you're just recklessly plowing forward. You need to be focused on your approach.
Demon's Souls was one of my favorite titles this generation. Those of you that avoided it because of this supposed difficulty is just ridiculous.
