Any amp suggestions for a DVC 6ohm?

Hey, I just had my friend buy a JBL GTi 15"

DVC 6ohm (x2)
800 watt RMS
5000 watt max

I'm looking to put around 700-800 quality watts into it.

But.. we are having problems looking for an amp. I know if I wire the sub in series it will be a 12ohm load, and in parallel it would be a 3ohm load. Am I correct with these calculations?

Would it be a problem to / How would i go about: push(ing) a 4 ohm amp at 3ohms? What would be any pros or cons to this situation?

The above2 amps are going to do what you want. The second one is a true monster read up on the BPX line.

Otherwise, find a class D amp that putts out the wattage you want at a 4 ohm load. Wire the coils in parallel for the 3 ohm load and call it a day. Make sure you use a mono (single channel) amp.

your understanding of the different wiring schemes is spot on.

Great sub by the way!!
