I'm thinking about using the m98. Also thinking about using the suppressor. I wonder what these bolt actions would be like using the bipod when only using the iron sights. I might try that out. I'm sure I'll mainly use the straight pull with no suppressor though...and probably with the JNG90.

That gun is a headshot magnet. You owned me with that gun and the SV98.

atlienzz - you can use any bolt action with iron sights. I am only using the L96 until I get my last 40 kills with it then I'll move onto another one.

Nope. Just need 30 headshots and 3 knife takedowns to unlock the L96.

What sniper rifles are bolt-action? I don't have the m98 unlocked, either

Also, is equipment like tugs/mav, spawn beacons, etc allowed?

I may take to the skies on the jet maps, but only to practice landing on people... if that's OK

I could be missing 1. You should try roadkilling with your wing. I tried to do it, dropping the wing down last second to clip the person but always crashed. I saw it on a youtube video and it looked sweet, much harder to do than I thought.


I'll be jumping on soon. My daughter is wide awake so I might have to take a short break while my wife takes a shower, unless she somehow falls asleep by then.

Don't forget to turn on your proximity scan on all your vehicles...lol.

Key is to fly slow and let the landing gear hit the victim. Much easier with the F-35 than other jets.

Besides running into people that bailed and are still parachuting down, I've only ever successfully had a jet roadkill once to a sniper that was standing on a roof of a building. But the landing gear idea sounds interesting. Will just need really open spaces like Firestorm for me to pull it off.

So far no luck for me. Keep getting the lost connection to the session error. After dash boarding & rebooting even.

I screwed up and dropped the server down to 7v7 and since it was already full your getting that. Kicked myself off too. That is if you were loading Wake. Got tired of waiting and went on to something else. Before I left though I put it back to 8v8 so once Wale is done should be good to go.

Welp, not sure if I'll do this mode again.

It was fun at first, got the DPV kills. Even those were somewhat difficult - I've never been able to kill someone while aiming at them in a jeep. This isn't anything new - I always had the same issue in BC2. Went for knife kills, and only got two. People kept moving around too fast, or ran for a long enough time to get me spotted and killed, and as usual, I lost most of my 1v1 encounters. I'm using brand-new guns with no attachments, so I found myself at a massive disadvantage, especially against people using straight-pull bolt and laser pointer. The best time I had was in a tank. But that violated the spirit of the game since I couldn't die at all, so I stopped doing it after Wake. Between the SV98 and M40A5, I just couldn't get a feel for them.

I really hate sniping, and this evening has helped reconfirm my hatred for it. Back to flying for me.

On the bright side, I got to kick someone every few minutes .

Yeah I agree zath, it was fun for a little while then got boring for me. I think mostly due to map size.

1. I think it should be done on a tdm map. I know we wanted vehicles for the lolz but it was pretty bad on wake w 5 flags. It was a little better on caspian since the flags are closer. Plus how in the heck did someone land a chopper in the airfield building on wake?

2. If we do a vehicle map armor shouldn't be allowed.

3. I was using a mav for a good bit of the games but I think it would be more fun with no mav or tugs. Adds a element of surprise and more knifing opportunities.

4. Can't wait to see vids from mph and blica.

5. I hate the l96. After I got my kills I switched back to sv98 and did much better.

Good games guys. It was fun! I wish I was at one of the random's house that joined in on caspian. Sounded like some females were having a party!

I agree the maps were too big. Infantry only mode would've been better, good point.

Yeah I tried landing the chopper on top of the hangar, but it wouldn't cap C from up there. So I took it in . I was close to getting it out, but got sniped. Seems like it remained there for the rest of the match lol.

You hate the L96? I couldn't tell - you killed me with it easily enough!

I'm up for doing it again. But we would definitely need to make it private. Trying to keep it all avs vs. avs almost ruined my night. The first three matches I really didn't play at all. Got locked out like Nexus and a few others. I like the mode though. There is something funny about it when you can be in the same party as your opponent. I think Kharg and Caspian were my favorite maps. I like taking a jet and bailing it to try and get a kill. That gets you anywhere extremely fast.

I think tonight could have been a lot better, especially if it was private. Early on it was a waste for me pretty much. But later on it worked out.

What I take out of it was that it is just plain nice to change it up. I wonder if there are other modes like this that would be even better.

Something between my laptop and pvr is just plain broke or something. I struggled all night just trying to get anything on video. I'll put up what I have when I get a chance, but I missed out on a lot. It's pretty damn frustrating. I almost feel like my laptop gets too hot or something and then things go bad. It doesn't help that my laptop only has the bare minimum to record anyhow. I wish I knew what the issue was and how to fix it because it may not be worth the hassle right now for me.

I had a feeling having randoms in there would become a pain in the ass - though didn't realize password protecting it would cause it to be unranked. Have to thank you for saving me one time while I was about to be killed by a M416. Guy disappeared when I had about 5% health left.

I agree with everyone else - Kharg and Caspian were fun. Wake was way too big. Smaller maps probably would have been more fun, but we would have missed out on some of the vehicle laughs. Zath smashing his jet into a tank on Kharg was hilarious - the tank went flying. Never seen that before.

I think next time we should make it private and switch up modes. One round of bolt actions, one shotty's, one pistols/rpg's, one smoke and knives, etc. Think that could be a lot of fun.

I agree it makes it much more interesting when you can talk to the other team. Nothing like hearing their pain after that sweet road kill. There has to be some madness to setting up the server where quick play players dont make it in. I have a few ideas but not sure if it will unrank or not. Will try it later on the settings to see what it does.

I'll try to get the video done as soon as possible. I forgot to convert them before I went to bed so I need that done first.

I like the idea of switching it up between games, only shotty, only pistols, only repair tool etc. I dont know if the games last night were like this, but instant respawn would be good for the vehicles if it keeps it ranked.

Instant vehicle spawn is not a rent a server option.

I'm in for whatever in the future, but I think we'll have to forego the stats and go unranked most likely.

I should have a video up later today, though with my issues I missed out on a lot of good clips. At least I didn't have too much footage to pour through.

Hoping you caught my transport chopper kill. It made the other 15 times I suiciding in the chopper worth it.

I have to go through 12gb. The usual normal game is about a 1gb but some of ours were around 3. So far its been fun watching and remembering some of the moments.

If you roadkilled me there is a good chance I have it and as painful as it will be I will post the deaths by vehicle.

I think it was MPH that I roadkilled with the transport chopper, but I did get you pretty good with the DPV on Wake. Your body got stuck to the front of it until you respawned. I think I may have sniped you out of the Apache too.

I expect to see myself on the receiving end as well. I'm pretty sure it was you that got me while doing reverse donuts on Wake.

I think the L96 sucks. Once I moved over to the M98 I had a lot more fun. It seemed easier to get kills with it.

It was fun but got alittle board after Wake Island. One side was all avs then the other was 4 and the rest randoms. Randoms were annoying though. Smaller maps are good. Like a Teamdeath match would be nice. Wake was way too big. I remember when I was on "C" Zath was in the tank and I was tea bagging in front of him then MPH came with the LAV, tea bagged him too. LOL. Then MPH came and knifed me. I sniped a few people out of the jeep and one time in a skid loader. I though you couldnt shoot through the glass. Caspian was fun 5guys on "C" flag and me trying to cap it. Everyone was trying to snipe me but I was knifed by Zath I think.

That was fun. Road kills galore! I'm glad I played even though I should have been working

Agree with mixing up the game types next time... shotties, C4, Smoke, Knives, mortars, and all that good stuff.

Or maybe just make the rules so that every class can be played, but majorly gimped. Example:

Assault - Smoke rounds only (excluding aug/smoke, as I hear that's a glitch).
Engineer - Repair tool only

Recon - I like the bolt-action/irons only rule. Other possible gimps could be no weapon mods or no equipment.
Vehicle - roadkills only works wonderfully. no tanks/lav/AA vehicle should be a rule, too.

Harp, my favorite was sitting in a jet on the runway kicking a guy who was on your team. He had just shot down another jet and the transport chopper. After the kick, I saw his lifeless jet coming straight at me - the guy was going to start spawnkilling. HA!

MPH - A few ideas.
1. Download a program called "smartclose." This program urns off most of your computer's services/running programs and optimizes it for high-cpu demand. It's usually used for video games, but should also work for recording videos.
2. Clean out the fans on the laptop. If you haven't done this before, then it probably needs to be done. Most can be removed very easily - type in your laptop's model into YouTube and see for yourself. If it's too difficult, you can always just blow air into the fans from the outside - better than nothing.
3. Elevate your laptop. Make sure it's not on the couch or carpeting. I like to put four bottlecaps under the corners of all my major electronics - my PS3 and XBOX are both raised slightly by this.

I also got a voice message from someone saying "I was having a good time, why did you boot me?" I responded, "I have no idea what your talking about. I didn't boot you." This time, I wasn't me. We were on Operation Firestorm. I remember he was in a tank on "B". I guess someone booted him.

Oh Zath, Orange was using a the ACOG scope and it was irons only.
