Battlefield 3 - Page 362

So Snake and I had a good run the other day in the chopper. There was a bunch of us on the same team playing Conquest with 100% tickets. We didn't die in chopper. I went 17-0. The game didn't last long. It was pretty much over before it started...as you see. I'm thinking series..."How to secure a win in two minutes or less"...lol.

My recorder, per usual, quit after 5 minutes. I just decided to clip the first 90 seconds. Like I've said, the TV Missile may not be better than the Laser Painter / Guided Rocket combo, but the TV does allow you to open up a match like gang busters if you hit your targets.

Lol that was the game that as the round was starting you mentioned you were sucking with the TV right as you hit the chopper.. cool.gif
post #10833 of 16243
Yeah, I said I was sucking lately. Of course I don't get much gunner time these days with a good pilot. Throw on top of that the ability to communicate. I like how we called out each tank and each attacked separate ones and then finished them off together. That was definitely one of my best continuous strafes with the TV. I hit my first three shots. Later I got a transport chopper too. I could definitely tell you were lining me up constantly and it really helped. Of course we need moar clips for the new series now.tongue.gif

I plan on playing a little tonight. Anybody else? What time?

At the 1:26 mark, is that 2 friendly jets, or enemy jets flying just overhead?

If it's the latter, I find it incredibly amusing that not a single bullet was fired at you, as both casually flew over as though both you and the transport weren't even there. Sadly, I've started many a round in pub games like this; destroy entire enemy air force and both tanks in under 2 minutes, and yet...we still lose by a bucketload of tickets. Why??? The entire rest of my team was camping it up somewhere in some hidey-hole, not doing a damn thing. I'm thinking, "I've made it a piece of cake to win this match, and all my team has to do is just waltz up and sit on the objectives without a care in the world." Why do I hate campers, again? rolleyes.gif

It's not camping! It's strategically defending an uncontested area!

Spyder, those are two enemy jets!
I hope to be playing within the next 20 minutes!
Below radar! We probably didn't show up on Air Radar, right?
We still had friendlies in the air is possibly why and one of them looked like he just took off
post #10841 of 16243
Irregardless that team did suck.
That was fun tonight! Funny how both AVS squads were pretty neck and neck each match.
Yeah good games. Spyder went 31-12 on Scrapmetal, yet he acted like he sucked it up. umm...no

Yeah I really like SQDM lately. I really haven't played much of this mode at all, so I'm learning how each map plays in this mode.

So far the maps I for sure dislike in this mode are:
Oman
Sharqi
Probably others, but I just can't think of them, but there are indeed several others that I'll play but don't necessarily care for.

So far the maps I like for sure are:
Karkand (my current favorite for this mode)
Metro (nice change of pace...in the grassy area where the first MComs are for Rush...no vehicles)
Ziba Tower

There are others I haven't played in a while that I should probably try (Some of these were due to come up in rotations lately but I had to step away or something each time):
Operation Firestorm
Capian
Seine
Grand Bazaar

I really think this is a nice game mode. 100 tickets (200%) seems about right.

What's your all's favorite SQDM maps?

Definitely not Noshahr Canals. Why don't the maps have the same boundaries they have for TDM (especially since there are less people involved)? I kept spawning by the B flag for conquest and I'd have to run all the way over to A to get back into the action. I'd die immediately, because in TDM someone is always behind me, then I'd have to run all the way back again.

The CQ maps are good, especially with the smaller number of people, the maps feel slightly larger since you aren't tripping over everyone's feet. I do not understand how PC players can have 32 man CQ servers. That doesn't even sound fun.
MPH I think Karkand is the best SQDM map hands down. I could probably play it 2-3 times before rotating off just because there are so many different things you can do. I think its a pretty tough toss up between it and seine for the best infantry map in the game for any game type. I also thought Oman was pretty good for SQDM. Most of the Close quarters maps for SQDM really just involve each squad holding its own building which can actually be pretty fun IMO. I think a SQ King of the hill would be pretty sweet.
Most of SQDM I've played with all the B2K maps and I like them all.

The other day when we were CQ maps wasn't crazy about them, more varierty in B2K rotation I think... Haven't really tried regular maps dont know how they are.

Pfft. rolleyes.gif Don't let mph fool you folks, I completely sucked it up compared to everybody else, barely coming in 10th out of 12 guys (C Squad doesn't even count):

http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/#!/bf3/battlereport/show/58460028/2/193240010/

Still, fun games, despite the fact that I've only played SQDM about 15 times ever. smile.gif

Now, let me say that any success I did enjoy was not due to my (lack of) skill; rather, it was the squad that I was with. Watching Happi and mph run as snipers shows that not every recon guy has to be the d-bag camper that cowers in a hole. To be clear, it's not snipers that I abhor; it's those like the guy on the last match (with his 7X scope and bipod) that sit, and sit, and sit, and sit some more in one place, just waiting for someone to round a corner. That's not "posting up" for a moment while also ptfo, that's camping. Clear? wink.gif

spyder's vehicle score is fairly ridiculous.

I want to play.

Recon is something I wasn't into until recently.

Anyone up for a game? biggrin.gif
I would love to, but I can only play on my night job, not my day job mad.gif
post #10853 of 16243
Man, you guys have played this game so much more than I have. Here are my fairly noobish scores.
Assault:
899,946

Engineer:
919,597

Support:
385,890

Recon:
395,463

Vehicle:
727,413

As you can see, I haven't been the biggest fan of Support or Recon. I am really running support now just for the claymore kills (I am stuck on 21, I can't seem to place them anywhere that people actually frequent. I need to play more of Spyder's favorite maps and finish that up.
I'm sure this surprises you all.

Assault score
384 265

Engineer score
490 589

Recon score
142 889

Support score
412 583

Vehicle score
4 509 500

Not many surprises here either:
Assault: 1,023,420
Engy: 840,877
Support: 5,497,460
Recon: 537,285
Vehicles: 1,518,630

MP1st rumors different gun game weapon lists in the future. That would make that mode a lot more fun. Hopefully it's not just a different sort order to what's there now.
I play pretty much every class but prefer to be on foot. I'll jump in a vehicle though when needed.

Assault: 1,376,740
Engineer: 1,679,350
Support: 1,032,620
Recon: 1,427,680
Vehicles: 2,016,770
Assault 2 282 800
Engineer 1 455 030
Support 1 246 140
Recon 3 406 280
Vehicles 1 580 620

So last night I finally unlocked all the new assignments. I now have a blue urban uniform (USA only maybe?). I figured I would have had twice the engineer points as support, guess not. I see myself spending more time in the future with the assualt class. I've started using the M16A3 more and more lately (closing in on 1000 kills with it). I've spent a lot of time playing by myself, and the recon class works fine in that regard, but when playing with friends not so much sometimes. I don't see myself playing nearly as much by myself in the future as I have in the past.
Assault 1 613 400
Engineer 1 492 150
Support 640 469
Recon 402 617
Vehicles 1 225 720

looks like I need to put in a little more work
