Yeah I was using the m16a3 earlier but thought I was getting killed a lot from the back. So I switched to aek because I already have it with suppressor. I probably could of run with mp7 or suppressed p90. I just like to have an AR for those distances between flags. May have to try out m16 suppressed and see how I like it.

It was great playing again with you guys! Had some really good games. The big Metro match was fun but everyone was eating my lunch. I'm a little rusty. Now that it is getting too cold to play golf, I will probably be on a little more than I have been, which is not saying much.

Yessir. I have to play with it suppressed especially in a game like that one. Can't even count how many times you can run through your AR and pistol before they even know you are right behind them. You guys team kept having randoms laying down the back of the locker room or in spots where there was no action, and it was getting annoying.

We have been busy making some welcome fixes for our PlayStation 3 players, fine tuning a lot of weapons based on your feedback, and tweaking some gameplay mechanics. This update goes live November 27 on consoles, and no later than December 4 on PC. Full details below, including how to download this essential multiplayer update once it is live on your platform.

1) Addressed “input lag” on PS3
If you have been experiencing “input lag” playing Battlefield 3 on PlayStation 3, we now believe we have significantly improved this situation for all players.

2) Improved audio stability on PS3
The audio dropouts reported by some PlayStation 3 gamers playing Battlefield 3 should now be fixed for the majority of players .

3) Weapons balancing
Based on detailed community feedback and data analysis we have made some minor weapon tweaks to recoil and accuracy. The goal of these tweaks, and the overall goal in Battlefield 3, is to give each weapon a unique feel and competitive performance to other weapons of a similar type.

M416: First shot and horizontal recoil slightly increased. This should make the choice between M16 and M416 more interesting again.

L85A2: Slightly reduced horizontal recoil.

AUG: first shot recoil slightly to increase weapon controllability.

FAMAS: Slightly reduced horizontal recoil.

G53: Vertical recoil reduced to make this weapon more controllable.

QBZ-95B: Slightly reduced horizontal recoil.

LSAT: Hip accuracy has been increased to highlight the weapon’s role as a highly mobile LMG.

Type88 LMG: Recoil has been decreased to make it a viable option when compared to the M249.

M5K: Increased horizontal recoil and decreased vertical recoil to focus this weapon as a high damage, low control PDW.

UMP45: Decreased fully automatic fire to differentiate this weapon from the PP2000.

MP412: Increased its accuracy to better distinguish it from the .44 Magnum.

M26: Increased aimed accuracy to be in line with the other shotguns.

4) Weapons bug fixes
Fixed the MTAR’s range not being correctly reduced when equipped with the sound suppressor.

Fixed a bug where suppressive fire had reduced effect on the M16 and M5K when compared with other weapons.

Fixed a bug where the M5K’s Flash Suppressor had no effect on accuracy.

Fixed the L86A2 Heavy Barrel’s hip accuracy penalty being far larger than other weapons.

Fixed an issue with the Mk3 shotgun’s ACOG being low resolution.

5) M-COM disarm fix
Fixed an issue where M-COM stations couldn’t be disarmed from the left side while standing up.

6) Alborz Mountains rock fix
Rocks and stones collision tweaked on Armored Kill maps. Players should no longer be able to exploit a collision issue that allowed them to hide inside rock formations.

7) Operation Shield/Alborz Mountains Tank Superiority area fix
Tank Superiority visual combat areas fixed on Operation Shield and Alborz Mountains. There was earlier a 10×10 meter patch on the mountain that became out of combat for US. This was technically already fixed server side, however this will update the actual visuals to be correct.

8) Death Valley collision fix
Collision tweaked on the railroad tunnel roof. This fix prevents players from being able to hide inside the railroad tunnel roof.

9) Sharqi Squad Rush spawn fix
Players would sometimes spawn out of combat if spawning shortly after the first M-COM explodes on Squad Rush on Sharqi Peninsula. With this fix, spawn points have been moved back to prevent this from happening.

10) Alborz Mountains Squad Rush fix
Cameras were incorrect in the spawn menu, pointing to old locations and not where you would actually spawn in. This has now been fixed.

11) Gunship balancing changes
We have now removed the gunship FLIR view (the position is still available, just not the black/white view) and decreased the damage radius of cannon explosions. This was done because of balancing reasons. Previously it was too easy for the gunner to get visual contact on enemy soldiers on the maps, and the splash damage is reduced to make it harder to kill infantry from the cannon seat.

12) Mobile Artillery spawn bug fixed
Two players can no longer spawn into the Mobile Artillery. This was a spawn-in-menu bug on the Operation Shield map which has now been fixed.

13) Tweaked hard to get medals
Looking at the persistence system, we could see that a number of the hard to get medals were actually too hard to achieve (in our opinion based on our intended design). While we never meant for all medals to have an equal distribution, the hardest ones were still intended to be more achievable than they have proven to be so far. Therefore, we have slightly decreased the prerequisites to achieve a number of the hardest to get medals in the game. One positive side effect (if you like playing Recon) is that we will likely see a slight bump in the Recon kit’s average Score Per Minute overall.

Hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving, sounds like you guys are having a lot of fun. I have been getting into Halo 4 a bit more, but it's just not as fun as BF3 to me. I still like it, but when I see you guys playing I just want to turn it off and join in on the BF3.

I think I may add a PVR to my Christmas wishlist, mostly to watch myself and see where I screwed up. I highly doubt that my gameplay is watchable, but it would definitely help me get better. When I watch other people's videos I always notice little things that get missed while they were playing, an enemy here and maybe a better place of cover in another spot.

I am going to try to get on and play tonight. I'll probably be rusty from not playing in almost a week. Last time I played, I was playing with Spyder but he wouldn't join my party.

For once, all of the new assignments sound pretty fun. I still haven't gotten the last five kills I need in the mobile artillery. I need to go sacrifice my SPM to get them.

Yeah I notice a lot of stuff I didn't see or comprehend while I was in the moment. I have some clips from karg when we were all on the same team that I'll upload soon. Won't do the whole match since it was 2.9 gigs. There will be one short clip that I hope nexus will approve of.

LOL, can't believe they are still making changes to this game. Still nerfing the M16...lol. Buffing the REX...lol. What ev's... Still the best game on the market no matter what they balance. Yeah I keep trying to flare as the gunner btw.

Also, is it cool to store Tequila in the freezer or does that ruin it? I can tell you right off the bat that the Patron keeps the bite longer after putting them in the freezer...just wonder if that is because of the square bottle of Patron holding more volume per top layer square inch vs the smaller cylindrical bottle of the other El Charro brand...Making the El Charro easier to freeze...Maybe I should have shook them up for the 2nd drink. I'm probably more curious about this drink...I mean Tequila, than other liquors. For some reason, Tequila has always peaked my interest.

Though I am confused about the fact that Schmoopy hasn't had a white Russian even though I think his favorite liquor is Vodka...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Russian_(cocktail)..(can't prove it though). Surprisingly they've done a good job balancing the weapons in this game... there really isn't a dominate weapon these days.

Agreed they really need to bring back gunner flares.

I would also like to see flares return but if not then bring the extinguisher down to the the gunner. I know most times the stingers/rockets take you down to quickly to use them but there are times where they could come in handy.

My favorite single malt was Lagavulin so far but those two are certainly nice. The Ardberg is very heavy (peat) and strong (almost 55% Alc.) and the Glenmorangie is softer and matured in Port casks.

There are two more DL's coming up, Im not surprised that they are still updating and balancing this game.

I'd be curious about your El Charro to Patron findings. I'm a huge fan of the smoothness of Patron, but not the price per liter. I actually always think of tequilla to be a warm drink - especially for shooting. The only benefit I could see to freezing it would be for making frozen margaritas out of it, and even then, I'm not sure it would make a difference. I do freeze my Jager and Sambuca though.

Yeah I don't think you should be freezing tequila... if it's good stuff, 100% agave, you shouldn't be trying to kill the flavor. Try a tequila sunrise, only other tequila drink I can think of off the top of my head. it's also the first drink I had at a bar underage lol...

Most places around here will usually have some chilled, but you have to ask for it. Tequila is just one I can not drink in anyway but a shot.
Jager they usually keep it ice cold but most of the time its for bombs so the glasses are always warm.

Sorry for my silence yesterday, I sat on my mic the other day so it's not really working the best lately.

Vodka is my favorite drink, but I don't drink that much because I'm cheap and liquor is just too expensive. So, I'll buy a bottle and it will stay in my house for a month or even longer before I drink it all. I don't really know how to make many drinks, but I'll have it with OJ or sprite/OJ, and if I had a particularly tough day, I just take a few sips straight from the bottle. I usually buy Grey Goose vodka. I don't really like tequila, but I've never had Patron, I had Jose Cuervo - which tasted like sweaty armpits would taste. As far as beers go, I like Dos Equis and another Mexican beer that I cannot remember right now.

So do all of your liquor stores stay open late? Where I am, the liquor stores all close at 9 and you can't buy liquor from a grocery/convenience store after 9 either. You have to visit one of the many bars/clubs/restaurants. I believe Milwaukee is still the nation's watering hole boasting the most bars per capita in the entire US. Not sure if that is really worth bragging about though.

I wish I could comment educationally on liquors. The best tequila I've had smooth wise is patron. I had it chilled and warm. I can say that I don't prefer it warm. All other tequilas have been cheapos that I drank in college. I need to branch out and try some of the suggestions on here. I tend to lean towards vodka since I have minimal hangovers with it. Last time a drank a lot was in new Orleans and I ended up puking blood in the morning, I guess thats what happens when you get older.

I live next to a liquor store - it's both the best and worst thing for an Irish alcoholic. In MA, most liquor stores are open until 10 pm during the week and 11 pm on the weekends. Bars are only open until 1 am, or 2 am if they can get a permit (very few). Some convenience stores have licenses to sell beer and wine, but none sell liquor.

Shmoopy - I don't think you're allowed to use 'cheap' and 'usually buy Grey Goose' in the same paragraph. I love the Goose, though I've dropped down a notch to Kettel One since it's cheaper. I mostly make white russians with vodka, though during the summer I'll mix it with some pineapple juice, and when I feel like getting heartburn, I'll mix with cranberry.

Trail - I'm hoping to get a couple games of Aftermath in tonight. Going in blind other than one video I saw a month or two back. Surprised there hasn't been more footage.

Hah yea harp I've wondered about that, I've heard you say a couple times that you need to run to the liquor store real quick and you'll be back in like 5 mins. Thought I was missing something.
We make a ton of what we call summer beer in the warmer months-- 1 frozen pink lemonade, 2 cans of water, 1 beer, and 1 can of vodka or rum. The more rum instead of vodka the sweeter it gets. Pleasant surprise. Gin & sprite or dickell in the winter months.

I'm pretty excited about aftermath, I'll be on regularly when it drops.

It's super cheap and mixes with everything. I drank this 190 proof paint thinner every day while I was in high school. Just went down to the local gas station and made some "cowboy punch" out of sprite, fanta, hi-c, ginger ale, fresca, and whatever other fruity beverages they had on tap. Dumped in a half pint of Everclear into the 32 oz big gulp and the mornings went smoothly. Repeat at lunch. My social science teacher always came by and took a big swig out of my drink every day. She was pretty cool. The great thing about Everclear is that if you fall down and cut yourself, it's a great antiseptic. Or, you can remove paint with it. It's also great if you run out of gas...but that was back in the day when most cars still had carburators. Yes, I'm that old!

Ahh alcyhol....never did like Tequila. Vodka yeesh still remember doing shots off a half gallon jug with a friend, barfing half the night and loading boxes in a hot azz trailer at my job the next day constantly sweating out the liquor smell. That was close to 20 years ago and I've not been able to drink Vodka since.

Used to love Jack'nCoke. Bud Light Platinum is killer. Had some great foreign beers from our local importer. Just can't seem to drink much these days though. Not really much interest and I feel like total $%&* for a couple days even with only a few.

Played a little close quarters last night. Man that game mode is quick. Forgot hoe fast it plays. Fun though. Looking forward to Aftermath. Far Cry 3 is out the same day so I may wait on FC3, undecided.

I use to like Jack n Coke too. Tequila and scotch is my fave. But cheap brands gives me a major headache the next day. Shots of vodka with the wifey. Vodka for me is ok the next day. Its also the cheaper of the three. But the usual beer and wine is ok too. Hard liquor once in a while. Cant drink like I use to and hate the way it feels the next day. Maybe bc I have a kid. She wakes us up 7am every day even weekends.

Can't wait for aftermath. Going to be switching between BF3 and Blk ops2.

I amortize the price of that bottle over a month or two, that way it comes down. $30 across a month is about $7.50 a week, over 2 months, that's $3.75. I'm not a heavy drinker so I can make it last. Right now, there isn't any booze in my house other than some pinot grigio that my wife likes, but she can't drink it right now because she's pregnant.

So, drinking Everclear is like drinking a bottle of rubbing alcohol, I think I'll pass.
