I mostly make white russians with vodka, though during the summer I'll mix it with some pineapple juice, and when I feel like getting heartburn, I'll mix with cranberry.

I amortize the price of that bottle over a month or two, that way it comes down. $30 across a month is about $7.50 a week, over 2 months, that's $3.75. I'm not a heavy drinker so I can make it last. Right now, there isn't any booze in my house other than some pinot grigio that my wife likes, but she can't drink it right now because she's pregnant.

It's super cheap and mixes with everything. I drank this 190 proof paint thinner every day while I was in high school. Just went down to the local gas station and made some "cowboy punch" out of sprite, fanta, hi-c, ginger ale, fresca, and whatever other fruity beverages they had on tap. Dumped in a half pint of Everclear into the 32 oz big gulp and the mornings went smoothly. Repeat at lunch. My social science teacher always came by and took a big swig out of my drink every day. She was pretty cool. The great thing about Everclear is that if you fall down and cut yourself, it's a great antiseptic. Or, you can remove paint with it. It's also great if you run out of gas...but that was back in the day when most cars still had carburators. Yes, I'm that old! redface.gif

So, drinking Everclear is like drinking a bottle of rubbing alcohol, I think I'll pass. eek.gif

Missing out. Everclear is good stuff, do not take shots, mixing in fruit juice is your friend. Cut a hole in a watermelon the size of the bottle neck and pour in.

My favorite single malt was Lagavulin so far but those two are certainly nice. The Ardberg is very heavy (peat) and strong (almost 55% Alc.) and the Glenmorangie is softer and matured in Port casks. cool.gif
Anyone else into single malt?

Going to try the Glenmorangie, thanks for the suggestion.

We have alot of shine here. You reallllly have to like the taste of corn and pure alcohol. Some of the stuff you can buy with like an apple cinnamon flavor in it isn't too bad.

I want to try the Ardbeg.

Does anybody know a good place to buy xbl ms points?

I am getting on now, btw.

step up to Don Julio for some good tequila, and step down to Titos for some really good vodka for the price. It's martini grade and a buttload cheaper than the Goose or Kettel One.

Silver Don has a bitter after taste which I didn't like. It got worst when I added an ice. But it's excellent for shots bc it doesn't burn like jose.

Played some matches on the new maps. First impression is the maps are ugly as hell. Lot of browns and 'earthy' tones - was having some difficulty at first seeing and locking onto people.

I like them though...definitely offspring of Karkand and in some ways the CQ maps where there are a lot of routes, verticality, and flanking options. Tough to maneuver vehicles through but I'm sure once you figure out the paths it will be a lot easier. Epicenter is definitely my favorite off the bat for conquest. Lot of routes to the flags and not much verticality. Some tremors throughout the match too...think one of the opened up a path through a building.

Scavenger....awesome. Love it. Everyone starts out with pistols and a bunch of neutral flags. Played on smaller variations of the maps with 5 flags. Weapons scattered throughout. Reminds me of a larger CQ map...capping flags is the same as CQ. Shitload of fun.

Xbow is cool. Takes forever to reload and you need to unlock scopes and tips. Didn't feel like it's overpowered or that everyone will be running around with them...though would be fun for a custom game.

Some guys at work were telling me to sign up for the Maker's Mark club and that every Christmas they send you out a nice gift. I've looked at their site and the only thing it could be is the ambassador's club. Guess I'll sign up later.

I think I am going to tour a few of the distilleries on the Bourbon Trail here in Kentucky (http://kybourbontrail.com/). I should have probably done that by now. Supposedly Maker's Mark is nice around Christmas time.

There are a lot of good bourbons here in KY. A few of my favorites (in no order)...Wild Turkey (http://www.wildturkey.com/), Maker's Mark (http://www.makersmark.com/), Woodford Reserve (http://www.woodfordreserve.com, Buffalo Trace (https://www.buffalotracedistillery.com/). I've never had Four Roses (http://www.fourroses.us/) but I hear it is one of the best.

My great Aunt just died recent. Her husband worked for Heaven Hill (http://www.heavenhill.com). When he went off to WWII, she worked his position there until he got back. I've only tried Heaven hill a couple times though.

Looks like there is a xbox live system update, along with a bf3 update. The bf3 update looks like it is taking me almost 25 minutes.

You don't shoot it. Ever. But the great thing about it is that it's virtually tasteless and odorless, and therefore, goes with virtually everything. 190 proof is the one to get, as a little goes a long way. Easy to sneak a small amount into any drink and go about your day. The odorless part is nice because you can drink it without anyone knowing...barring you don't start slurring your words, spelling like Nexus on a tap-a-talk device, or hitting on your cousin at a family reunion. wink.gif

Awesome, Harp. Can you choose your starting pistol in scav?

A custom game of xbow sounds fun.

Thanks for the info

Xbox update took me about 5 mins. BF update is crawling at about 7% per minute so far. frown.gif And to think, I can rip a 25+GB PS3 game in 15-20 mins!
Lol. I just noticed you have a new sig spyder

Yep. Decided to finally let Zath off the hook with his infamous "blow yer friend" post. tongue.gif
Old mikepaul may have got me booted from the Borderlands 2 thread, but not before I could get the last laugh forever. biggrin.gif

26 minutes in and I've only got 68% of the measly 1.79GB BF update. frown.gif

Woohoo an hour later I'm up to date and on my third beer. All this alcohol talk struck a nerve.

You can choose your starting pistol. There seems to be plenty of weapons lying around, though they have very limited ammo. There are different level of weapons to find too... seems the higher level weapons have more attachments.

By the time the update finished it was bed time. Will try again tonight though I'm rather sick so may not be using a mic.
I wanted to play last night... update was obviously crawling for all of us.
Those who didn't play last night missed nothing. We got spanked pretty hard.
Waiting forever for the update made me feel kinda dumb for paying 3x more for the fastest internet avail in my area. It did give time to research a few things tho: anyone have any feedback on this http://game-capture-review.toptenreviews.com/roxio-game-capture-review.html ?
Hapi you gonna get one too? I've had one in the cart for what seems like months, can't ever decide between that one and a hauppauge. OCD.
Was thinking about it, but prob won't. This one comes with editing software and costs less, so that seemed like a win to me. I didn't search beyond that link I posted, so I not sure what the masses have to say about the device.
Most I've seen on it is positive, main complaints are the software but those seem to be bugs that will/could be fixed with updates.
One of my hold-ups was the distance between my box and computer but picked up a 30' 2.0 usb with a booster for like 8 bucks from monoprice soooo now I'm back to choosing one.
Buy it! Then let me know how it goes wink.gif If it works without hassle then I'll join in on the fun.
