Glad to hear you guys had a good time after I left from a very brief return to the Battlefield. For me, it seems that nothing ever changes. First round in, and I get hatemail from other pilots, despite lagging like crazy. At one point, I apparently hit the ground, even though I was at 800 feet.

Zath joins, we change servers, and he and I get in a tank. We drive from A to B to D, killing rock-campers left and right along the way. We lose an objective mere seconds after we leave it. No cavalry is ever going to show up. Ever. I get kicked halfway through the round for decimating the enemy clan who are trying to take us out in our tank. Zath ends up 9-1 and I go 17-2, and both of us end up with higher point totals than anyone else, despite being kicked early. Apparently, it's not enough of an advantage to be all clanned-up, winning by a hundred tickets, and having worthless blueberries on our team. Nope. Not enough of an advantage, badmins still gotta kick me. Like I said, nothing ever changes.

I really wish you would've stuck around with us in the Aftermath matches we played. We had a lot of fun just beating down the enemy. For a while, it was AVS vs AVS as usual and even that was fun. Smoopy was owning in his JNG, MPH was blowing peeps up with C4 on flags and his 240B. Trail, Wayward, and I took care of heals. Best part was when we had all 3 vehicles just bangin' on the horn going from flag to flag on Talah Market Conquest Assault.

Sounds fun, at least for you guys. Sadly, I lag too much on the AVS server to do anything.

(Not to mention that I absolutely suck, suck, suck at Aftermath. )

Is the AVS server always the same box?

I'd imagine when the server is started, we will always get a new server/ip from the "pool" of available servers...

Sorry I had to bail so early last night -- been getting on and off earlier been grinding out Noshar TDM when I have free time when the baby and mama are sleeping Nice to see the AVS crew for a change!

Any of you guys going to watch the playstaion anouncement tonight to see if they show any BF4 game play?

I know MPH isnt renewing the server. I was going to start up a new server tonight, have way to many points that I could use for this. Hopefully the lag issues for some disappear, maybe not but only one way to find out.

No worries lowgn, too bad there wasn't more people in the server. The a vs server is hit or miss with me. Most times it isn't good, I'm either rubber banding or teleporting or just taking a mag to kill someone.

Had some good times though playing with and against friends.

I certainly don't want anyone to think that I'm complaing about the AVS server or mph in any way. I'm simply stating a fact about my lag. I completely appreciate that mph set up the server in the first place, as it's not an inexpensive thing. I noticed it did get worse in the winter months, so that coincides with some of the issues I have occasionally when it gets cod and/or really wet here.

Same here, wasn't trying to diss the avs server that mph was kind enough to share with me. Just stating what happens to me when I play. Who knows, maybe when I get a new modem it will help and I won't have any excuse when someone shoots me in the face. I know others here that don't have any problems at all. Although it is real convenient to have a server where you can play the game how you want and if it happens to be damavand peak conquest with 1000% tickets and only you can drive the tank, then so be it! Guess I didn't log onto the thread for the past day. LOL. I think I am making up for lost time or something.

I've been xboxing 4 years this spring. Seems longer than that though. Before BF3 came out I played Halo Reach and Halo 3 multiplayer by myself, and I didn't play as much as I do BF3. I really wasn't that good at those games either. Before that I didn't play anything except an occasional race against the AI on Gran Turismo 4 on a PS2. Before that it was Twisted Metal on PS2. Before that it was the best game of all time... NHL '96 on the Sega Genesis (talk about an intense 10-11 minute match with your buddy...truly a perfect game). Before that it was the occasional Madden series on Sega, and a little FIFA.

Yeah, I'll be the first to admit I have gone a little overboard with BF3. Just when I think I am going to slack off, it pulls me right back in. A lot of times I find a new gun or class I like and I can't put it down.

On another note I would like to thank Wayward, Shmoopy, HK and a random for my 3rd multikill. Only have two more to go.

Also I think this 4 minute video that LevelCap did with screen shots of the upcoming End Game maps does a pretty good job of showing us what we can expect to look forward to.

I appreciate MPH for hosting the server but I have come across servers that really suck for me and others I have no issues with. Maybe something happened, maybe they changed it on MPH, something he has no control over. I am hoping that by trying a different server maybe we can all get a lag free game, for the most part.

I had a server on day 1 and it ran fine. I didnt renew it and when it ran out I decided to try another. I hated it, it was awful for me to play in it. I made sure it was a east coast server and it was but for some reason it sucked for me. There would be days that I couldnt even sign on. After enough calls and complaints I was issued my points back. Never bothered again. So I am hoping to maybe get lucky and get a server with a better connection. Only time will tell I guess.

No '96 was a game changer, though '94 was pretty freaking awesome too. Pretty close call, but '96 was idk...better...everybody knows that, come on.

Mph did you get that multi captured? I may have gotten it but I'm not sure. I'll check, but I think I died before you pulled the trigger.

Thanks for the server MPH, but to me it's also a hit or miss. Last night it was defiantly a huge miss for me. When it gets like that, I just cap flags and forget bout kills. I don't think I had so many "bad lucks" in one game. I have to say its nice to request a map or a game mode every now and then. We should try TDM canals, one qrts cq, Rush Crossing, Barzaar, Peninsula, Oman, Karkand. Haven't played Karkand maps in a long time.

MPH and I got owned by some guy with a Xbow like 3 times last night when we were in the attack chopper. This guy was just hiding in the bushes of Armored Shield and whenever we'd fly over, BAM... 7%... dead. Then that clown would come running from behind a bush.

You are welcome. I'm still stuck on 1 multi-kill. I don't think I'll ever get the other 4.

Escort Squad:

-Objective: Communicate with VIP, find location and rescue VIP, once VIP has been located, make your way to extraction point.

VIP:
-You must be Recon. You are allowed to use a Secondary of your choice.
-You may also use MAV/T-UGS if you would like.

The VIP will spawn in when he/she feels ready. The VIP should then hide and wait for assistance from Escort team. The Attack team can patrol for the VIP/Escort team or can simply wait at the objective.

We are always taking suggestions. This is a work in progress, please post your ideas.

Operation Firestorm: Top of Bravo building, Extract with US heli
Caspian Border: Inside any of the Delta buildings
Kharg Island: Inside the Delta Warehouse(You have to blow open a door or window to get in)
Gulf of Oman: Top of G building, Extract with US heli
Damavand Peak: Southern tunnel(This one might get changed)
Operation Metro: Alpha flag, Either side building will work,M-Com room and the opposite one work too
Strike at Karkand: Bravo Building, Stand at base of ladder(This is a new objective, used to be hotel)
Sharqi Pennisula: Charlie building, the hotel
Grand Baazar: Top of the triple floor building at Charlie

haha yeah been on pretty much every night this week, most of the time no AVSers on so been doing some TDM/assignments... will try to jump on tomorrow night also.

Lowgn. that air superiority screen shot just looks flat out frustrating. Though maybe it will learn me how to fly.

Zath I checked your stats and if you had the same time played as the top jet pilots, based on your stats per time played, you would have them beat in kills.

On another note...If I had to choose just one and only one map...I would probably select Armored Shield. That map is just good.

Another unrelated note...I played Gun Master today. Kind of liked it on the Aftermap maps. You can of course select different weapons loadouts...http://battlefield.wikia.com/wiki/Gun_Master. I played heavy and sniper today. I really liked heavy, even managed to win a round (my final knife kill was ridiculous...i just kept chasing people only a few steps behind them, but kept getting killed by their teamates, usually back raged. Finally go it though. The heavy mode final kill is C4, lol. Figured out you can lay down 6 pleasure packets. I actually wouldn't mind trying out all the different loadouts. Actually I didn't really like the Sniper loadout. Way too many suppressed pistols and semi automatic, which turn sniper rifles into garbage, IMO.

Also played two matches on Armored Shield with this incredible Viper pilot. We just completely owned. It was ugly, and we were silent...no communication. Capped them out both timesand just let loose from long range. I felt bad, but what are you going to do? Too bad the other team wasn't any good, because my pilot was incredibly good . It truly is impressive watching a great Attack Chopper pilot do his thing these days with the giant nerfed against the Attacks. Stingers shooting across the map, and no gunner flares anymore. Seriously it is pretty cool.

Damn. KK I'll try and get on tonight then.
As far as air superiority, I'll play it with whoever. I can confuse some people but i sure as hell can't get someone good off my tail. I'd almost say in that to keep party chats small and work in whatever groups your are partied with if there are a bunch of people on.

I can't wait to see how many times someone gets kicked for "jet ramming" in Air Superiority. Seriously, there's going to be crashes all over the place...most likely Zath crashing into me.
