Been running 870 shotty with slugs. Insane power and range.
RivalXfactor is a PC player who has always competed in battlefield tournaments. He apparently quit competitive play for a while but is getting back into it. He basically has 3 gun setups that he uses mainly. The 870 with slugs, the M16A3 and the AEK. That shows me just how strong of a setup the 870 w/ slugs is. Makes sense when I think about all the times I have died from it.
On a similar note, apparently spawn beacons are not allowed in competitive play.

I'm back playing BF3 and realized I never ranked the 870 up far enough to get slugs.
Last night I was on a playing Close Quarters on the palace map where the "A" flag is located in the court yard, on the second level middle of two stair cases. I jumped down, ran around back to the flag and took out 4 guys on the flag. I was using 870 with slugs. Then cap the flag again. Once you get hit with the slug, it's either you die or at least half of your health is gone. If I equip my DAO-12 with slugs, will it have the same damage as the 870?
I don't think so with the dao. But the spas is also a 1 or 2 shot kill with slugs. It is a beast in close quarters as long you aren't getting suppressed. May be worth using in some tdm maps and metro.

No, it has slightly less damage. The Spas, 870 and M26 are the only shotguns with 100 - 40 damage. The rest are 75 - 37.5
MPH - back in the day when I played Call of Duty all the tournaments I did never allowed the tactical insertion - AKA the spawn beacon. Most tournaments were 4 vs 4 and it would of been way to easy if we could use those. Easier on BF3 since only one person needs to equip it, in COD the whole team would need to equip it.
Does anyone know if I buy the game, can I use the code for myself for the Premium membership, and give the actual game to a buddy? Is the Premium membership a separate code?
