Closest recon is SKS @ 315 or sv98 @ 202
Closest pdw is mp7@618 or p90@496.

Or go for getting 100 kills w every primary gun. Currently have 20 guns under 100 and 10 guns under 10 kills.

Any suggestions?

Each class of primary weapon in your top five would be badass! That way when someone takes a quick look at your stats they'll see your top 5 weapons and know you got skillz.

ha, or a lot of time on my hands smile.gif

Don't forget the shotgun and the handgun. Would be extra bad ass to have your top 7 from each category smile.gif

"Mad Skillz Award" only given after 100,000 kills with the Skid Loader. smile.gif

Haha, while that would be hilarious, that is all you. I can't drive that dang thing to save my life. I just realized I looked at my stats wrong. In order to put other class weapons on my top five I'd have to displace the aek at 1300 something kills not the 800 just to get into the top 5. Not that bad but it would take a little longer than normal.
Mph, I don't know how you have so many kills with bolt actions. Those things test my patience.
I don't know either. I can't seem to do much with them lately. I'd say once you find a rhythm and the appropriate distance for yourself then it gets a lot easier. Each bolt action is different in those two regards.

BTW, I just got bashed in my bluray players forum, where I was complaining about it streaming issues, from a guy saying I need to get a"Real Internet connection" and that the player was fine but the problem was my internet connection.

As far as speedtest.net ratings...how does mine from today look? Appreciate any opinions. Thanks.

Did you ask what he defined a real internet connection? Sounds like a douche your download is good. Most important thing is your ping to the server. I've had mixed experience streaming and I've got about the same kind of connection.

First question would be what are you streaming and from where? Netflix streams great for me. Certain parts of Hulu suck and YouTube HD videos on my Android devices sucks. I picked up Playon with the Playlater feature and anything from CW buffers for both Playon and Hulu. From what I can tell Netflix hosts all its own stuff and Hulu hosts some but grabs other content from other places like CW the same way Playon works. What helped was the Playlater part that can record video from the web and play back from a local computer.

In the end I still have buffering issues with a good connection. Could be Comcast monkeying around with competitors or just a bad connection to the server...still not entirely sure.

After seeing my speedtest rating he didn't necessarily say there was anything wrong with it just that he gets up to 4 times better, but he averages 40mbps.

I complained my bd player is slow to load apps, somewhat often it seems to stop when trying. Amazon works great when it loads. I tried Netflix the other day for the first time and it was terrible...going back and forth between HD and SD the entire movie. One guy mentioned with that Sony bd plaster that it does not come straight from Netflix, that the stream goes from Nettlix to a Sony server, then to the end user. I'll have to check into it.

Also I complained how YouTube quality was terrible compared to Xbox YouTube videos.
I would think it's more about upload than download...
Mph, not sure about what's good or ideal for DL and UL speeds. Maybe the services specify what's optimal? Also I would think that if a service like Netflix or YouTube works fine on your Xbox and doesn't work fine on a specific BD player, then said player isn't that good for streaming, at least for your specific circumstances.
DL looks decent, but your UL is terrible, imo...at least in relative terms to your DL. I hit about 50/10+ now, but before I got my DOCS3.0 modem, I was running about the same DL, but my UL speeds were at least 4 Mb/s consistently. 20/4 is pretty standard, so not quite sure why you're only getting 1.4. Also, what BD player do you have?
Yeah I think in the past my upload speeds tested better. At least on par with what I am supposed to get last time I checked. I'll check that number again and compare.

I am going to check into my Internet settings on the bd player, a Sony s790. I think my problem might have a little to do with server stress. If it is true that Netflix goes through Sony...well idk. I might be able to do some IP address settings for the player...or something. I guess I'm going to have to bite the bullet eventually and learn about this type of stuff...now is a good time as any. I might want to check into what kind of value it would be to me to up grade my router and modem...similar area I'm clueless about. Cable company just started charging for those items. Just like a buck or two a month though.

I'm leaning towards something on their end which I might be able to mitigate on my end. I watched a Netflix movie tonight and it was perfect. HD all the way through, with Dolby Digital Plus to boot. I didn't start it until 1am though. So I think the Netflix / Sony servers were light on traffic, or something in the chain was. Just leads me to believe it is not all on my end.

But yeah I need to do some research on 1) the chain of the stream 2) my ip settings 3) my router and modem. Should have done 2&3 by now, guess I just never had any reason to.

Thanks guys.

As I understand it, a cable connection is shared. So if you are in a densely populated area, your bogged down at peak times of day. That includes digital TV channels. We had Insight here for a long time until they traded with Comcast and it was a decent connection. You might check it at different times of day. I know at 6 AM I get my best speeds or should I say better.

For streaming video, your download is important and gaming your upload. Even a 1 MB upload is decent for gaming. That traffic isn't very much. Really the streaming isn't bad either. I checked my Playon box and it didn't even register a blip on the network while it was streaming. To be fair though, I have gigabit in the house and it was streaming a movie over cable. Really need to set up some monitoring and see how much I actually use.

Read an article about Netflix the other day. They use the Amazon cloud to host all their content. Its possible those servers were congested. Sony passing Netflix through their own servers is a new one to me, I'd guess it passes through their network if anything but doubt they redirect that much traffic. Would end up adding a lot of cost for them. My PS3 doesn't have any issues with Netflix. Hell, we have two PS3s and a Google TV that can all generate traffic at the same time plus Playon if I'm recording videos and I haven't had many issues at all unless I'm uploading GBs of photos to Picasa and trying to play Battlefield...learned that the hard way.

Might try and power cycle your router and modem every so often. Power them off and let them sit for a minute or so. If you have DOCSIS 3 available but are only using a DOCSIS 2 modem, get that updated. Will probably get better speeds. If your modem is old a hardware refresh won't hurt. The problem has a lot of moving parts so its not easy to drill into one specific thing.

If you have port forwarding set up, it's possible that's causing some lag as well. Cable is notorious for packet loss, which can really screw with a streaming service.

I suggest you try doing a line quality test.

I thought the point of port forwarding was to alleviate those problems, not cause them.

Agee with Nexus that a DOCS 3.0 is probably the best, first bet. Should at least double your speeds. smile.gif

I meant port forwarding set up on another device oops.

Though you are still having the router do a process or two when you do port forwarding. That's why my xbox is in the DMZ - the router doesn't have to do ANYTHING smile.gif
post #14301 of 16243
I would caution anyone using DMZ. DMZ has no real advantage over port forwarding, but comes with many potential risks.

Get a dedicated line and run straight from the modem. Or if you're like everyone here and you're sharing the connection with other networked devices, then enable QoS. More often than not, un-prioritized traffic is what is causing the router slowdown.

Lazy, sorry I had to bail. Can only get a couple of games in during lunch. Got lucky in one match and got a multi. Two down, both on metro so far. How have some of you other guys gotten your multi kills. Mine have both been c4 in the rear. I know mph has gotten some from c4 and TV missile.

#1, 2, and 3 were all from shooting down packed transport choppers in jets.

#4 was from taking down the building on Noshahr Canals by A crate in Rush mode 2nd set. Killed like 6 or 7 people! Last night I teamkilled 3 smile.gif

#5 was from a guided shell to a loaded little bird.

I honestly think you're best off on maps with little birds - Damavand Peak CQ or Noshahr Canals CQ. You can try C4ing MCOM rooms like Bazaar B crate Rush but all you'll likely do is give some d-bag with an RPG a multi-kill.

I'm hopping on soon smile.gif
Think 3 of my multis were getting behind enemies on Metro side stairs by B flag. Either rush defense or CQ. Got another elsewhere but don't remember where. I know my last was on close quarters sqdm dropping C4 down stairs. Think I took out a squad and a half on that one. Basically all but maybe one were close combat C4 kills.
I had one, maybe two on Little Birds. One definitely was with a guided shell.
No sweat Trail, I got to play TDMCQ for the medal, which I cant find a team to win my goodness some people are horrible.

I got my 2 with C4 as well. 1 was on Epicenter, sneaked on the enemy after they capped B and took out about 5 of them. The other was in the little bird while Nexus was flying. He flew us over some enemies and I just dropped all my C4 out of the chopper, hoping to get at least 1 kill and was lucky enough to get 4 of them. I should of had another on Metro in the lockers on Rush but I got a little to happy and greedy and tried to run in front of them. Got mowed down before blowing up my C4.
Got 4 the very first day, all of them on Little Birds with regular tank shells on Noshar. smile.gif Haven't got a single one since. mad.gif

RESTRICTION: Corrupted File/Memory [98080790]

Is there anyone out there that can help me with this error?!! I just spent like 2k on building a pc to game and every match on bf3 I get booted with this error!! I have literally spent a week troubleshooting and am ready to give up and sell the pc on C list frown.gif
post #14309 of 16243
Sounds like a memory issue with your RAM. See if you can find a program that will test your RAM or perhaps your BIOS has a memory tester. This is part of the reason I stopped caring for PC gaming.

On a different note, I have found a new calling - once I'm done with my assignments (just have pp-19 left and then 46 AS-VAL kills), I'm going to start EOD bot trolling. Got 3 kills with it last night when we were spawntrapped on Tehran Highway.

@Spyder sorry I was gone so abruptly yesterday but I thought we were in a party and quit the game only to recognize we were not. redface.gif
