Worst case scenario: MS just dumps points and we're all screwed. (Very unlikely, even MS isn't that stupid/greedy...hopefully)
Best case scenario: MS converts everyone's points into money. (Ridiculously unlikely, imo, given MS' track record)
Most likely scenario #1: MS says that points are still good for 360, but not One, citing some lame-ass excuse that it's not possible to have two different pay systems for their new box and they want to "start from scratch." (Read as: "make more scratch.")
Most likely scenario #2: MS gives some short time frame for everyone to use up their points and then they will be deemed as no good once the One is released. This will lead to a frenzy of fire-sale purchases on the 360, thus making MS some quick cash going into the next gen. (Although these games may or may not work after a year if online support is needed.)
That said, we'll have over 50K in points in our home if all the codes go through and MS doesn't shut me down for ordering so many. If we end up with a bucketload of 360 games at clearance, that will have to do. At this point, I don't see us having a problem spending them, since there's quite a bit of stuff that's decent at these prices. If MS dumps all the points entirely, then I'll just mod out 10 boxes and DL everything MS has got without paying a dime to make up for getting raped.Edited by spyder696969 - 5/27/13 at 9:49pm
