doesn't matter how good the game is if I can't use it...

EA can suck it big time! I can't even get my battlelog running, I have an EA Account and when I try to log into the battlelog online it says "Your account is not allowed to login" WTF? Anybody have any ideas? I tried to add my xbox live persona but I can't ****ing find a link to "add persona" how hard can it be EA??????????????

I couldn't log in to Battlelog until I added BF3 to my games list on Origin

Man, I can't believe I opened it for some reason on the first night! I should have definitely not opened it until a few hours into the night and watching the message boards. Ah well, buyer beware.

Anyone else have their stats wipeout? I'm back to rank 0? WTF? Even battlelog is showing my stats as zero across the board..check your battlelog fellas...

i had the same error until i played the game and then tried to log in.

Battlelog seems down ATM.

I've had a handful of great games... Two of which I was MVP. All the other games, "connection to the server was lost"?!?! This has been happening WAY to much. Now I can't connect to EA's servers. I'm starting to miss the beta.

All crap connection stuff aside...

This game blows "the other games" (noticed I used plural) arses away. I haven't had this much fun since ghost recon years ago.

But whats with the server connection issues?? I'm guessing its because everyone and their mom is off work and playing now. You guys that had a chance to play last night and early this morning... consider yourselves lucky.

Between the crappy beta and now this, Activision/IW/Sledgehammer probably have the biggest smile in the world. Im not a fanboy of either franchise but damn, IMO this couldn't have gone any worse for EA/Dice.

The jet mission in the campaign literally put me to sleep. Im done for the night, hopefully better luck with the servers tomorrow. How far do I have to play through this campaign to unlock MP bonuses?

Interestingly, I've been playing a bunch of SP, and Duke just sent me an invite. Now, you can sit in a queue waiting to join a game, instead of just crapping out.

Picked up GameStop copy. Lady told me the code was in the package. It was on the receipt. Typical GameStop employee.

Amazon preorder was on doorstep. Code emailed.

Wife picked up copy from Best Buy. Redeemed the code - SPECTACT. Dammit! I wanted a 2nd dogtag code + SPECTACT lol.

Got home, joined up in a party, found the servers had just gone down. Installed MP disc, took a shower. Came back, disc just finished installing. Did the update while cooking dinner, installed textures while eating. Upon finishing, played TWO rounds. Just like the beta, we squad up prior and I end up on the wrong team. A team that just can't do crap. Then guess what? Servers down.

Wife got home, watched Jurassic Park on blu-ray. Checked back - servers down again. Played Ace Combat. Painted planes, shot planes down. Enjoyed it.

Moral of the story - glad I didn't take time off work for this. And boy do I hate getting killed by people who clearly did in those two matches I got to play.

Nevermind..everything seems to be how it should be...ranks and stats are still intact..

Battlefield 3 Simulator

Would be sweet to cross the pond and check it out.

Just played a quick few Squad Deathmatch games. To be honest, it was like I was playing new maps in Bad Company 2 with Medal of Honor sounds. Will have to spend more time with it, but so far it is good, it just seems like a continuation of exisitng games.

Since I am painfully awful I was thinking that I could do some campaign to achieve different weapons for multiplayer. Is that not the case, only co op can do that? Irregardless, I'm sure it would benefit me.

Is there a list somewhere of what weapons and upgrades you get as you progress.

I assume if you work at one class code (like assault or recon) the you progress strictly through that class codes weapons only?

If I am correct in the above, what do guys think would be the best way for a noon like me to upgrade? One if the things I am struggling with is my accuracy. Coming from Halo I am used to clearly defined shots/hits. I guess to me this game doesn't seem as accurate or definitive, probably because I an just not use to it. Is there a target practice arena somewhere in the game? Even with the basic sniper I seem clueless.

I guess mainly what do you guys think is the best way to get better at multiplayer?

OK, so, let me start by saying that this game is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!

A few pages back, there was an incredibly accurate review, so I don't need to go into great detail. Just, wow.

Anywho, I have a serious problem right now, and I'm not sure if it's just something I'm noticing, or if anyone else has noticed it?

and as someone who's incredibly sensitive to input lag, finally settled on a panasonic viera that has absolutely come through with shining reviews from me. I'm a PS3 player, and spend most of my time with BFBC2. For the last month, I've enjoyed input lag free playing time, and couldn't be happier with my tv purchase.

Enter BF3.

As SOON as I got into my first multiplayer match, it felt like I had 3-4 frames of input lag. No exaggeration. So, I figured I'd accidentally hit a setting somewhere on either my tv/ps3. Quit the game, went through my checklist. 720p output, game mode, everything is JUST as it was when I was playing lag free yesterday on BFBC2. Go back into BF3 multiplayer, same result. Unplayable input lag. I move my analog stick to the right, and a quarter of a second later my gun moves on screen. I tried adjusting sensitivity, and that REALLY screws things up. I figured SOMEHOW (please please please) it's just an opening day online bug...so I go to campaign mode. Sadly, same problem.

Again, I'm really not trying to be a downer, and I'm HOPING AGAINST HOPE that I'm missing a setting somewhere, but as of this moment, the game is virtually unplayable without some SERIOUS controller compensation. Yes, I can still get plenty of kills adjusting, but I was expecting a lag free experience. Anyone else noticing this?

I truly love this game so far, but can't see myself playing it with the same passion as i have in the past if this doesn't somehow get fixed. I dunno if that's even possible.

Again, I know the difference between game lag (server lag, bandwith problems, whatever you'd like to call it) and input lag, and this FEELS EXACTLY like input lag, even though my tv played BFBC2 flawlessly and lag free.

Anyone have any ideas?

Bummer! Which system are you playing on? Did you notice it in both the Mutiplayer and campaign?

Buc, Dude, Dallas and I just played for an hour. Only got kicked from a server once, and I was the only one that got the boot.

Servers so far has been silky smooth for the 4 hours...

Which, if the same thing happens, will kill this game. If they've not gotten this sorted out in two weeks and MW3 launches without a hitch they can kiss the vast majority of their players goodbye.


So the moral of the story is that campaign isn't gripping?

So far I think the reviews have been a little too kind to it. Its completely soul-less and boring. This is a corridor shooter. You literally start in a train, the smallest corridor you can imagine. Its the LIRR for those of you from NYC (and they got it wrong).

You move from one bland scripted event to another. There's no excitement at all. You're some random goon, teamed up with random goons, shooting at random goons. None of the characters are likable, none of the scenarios are memorable. (so far at least) You don't even get to fly the jet, you just sit there like an idiot and pull a trigger every couple of minutes.

Bad Company had charming characters, and a unique single player that was very wide open and spread out. This is just a very poor facsimile of another series. It's a slow paced, unmemorable and unpolished mess.

The reviews are not kidding - do not buy this game for the single player. Bargain bin at best. Homefront was better. I can't believe I just said that.
