Also, I seem to be losing each and every gunfight against an opponent when we're both facing and shooting at each other at the same time. There are even times when I'll start shooting an enemy that hasn't even seen me, I'll put a few bursts of rounds in them, they'll turn around and take me out in what appears to be one or two rounds. I clearly experienced these two instances last night on several occasions. That's why I got so frustrated and called it a night.
Could it be the weapons I'm using are weaker than the ones they are using? Could it be my connection? I'm not hard wired. My router is on the other end of the house so I'm depending on wifi from about 30 feet away. I'm not getting 4 bars, but it's still 2 or 3 bars. Could this be the reason I struggle so much with shooters?
Since I'm going to be home for the next week or so, I'm going to try to work on improving my xbox/router setup to see if it makes a positive difference or to see if indeed I just truly suck.

I ALWAYS get worked when I'm playing w/ new guns. It's not you or anything like that, it happens to most of us. My principle is simply this: Rate of fire is KING(not damage). I use the highest ROF in any class(except sniping) w/ the grip and silencer to reduce the recoil.
Assault: FAMAS
Engineer: MP7
Support: M249
Try it and you'll see(all things being equal) you'll win a lot of one-on-one confrontations when they're using a lower ROF gun. You can see the gun specs at http://denkirson.xanga.com/756891604/bf3/ or http://symthic.com/ If I'm not trying to upgrade a weapon, I ALWAYS use a FAMAS w/ grip/silencer. It's got the highest ROF of ANY weapon in the game(including bullet velocity), and the range is very good.

I've been playing it on PC and it's not even close to BC2.

I've got to realize that not everyone uses them as the ultimate in aggressive flag-capturing/team-shielding/enemy-crushing devices and that we all have different styles of play. I'm sure that I've pissed off a few people in my day as well...though it's doubtful that I'll ever stop being super-agro when it comes to taking flags/M-COMS if I have a vehicle. I've played in too many random matches that it's difficult to "unthink" that I have to do it all by myself.
