Yeah, honestly with the whole map server thing, I feel like this: When I get on I usually see a lot of avs'ers and their friends spread out on different servers. I just think games would be more intense and more balanced if they were all in the same server. Keeping randoms out and the teams the same or at least even for each match. I just think that would be a more enjoyable experience.
Honestly, every time I fire up the game I don't know what to expect, mainly because of all the variables in match making. Basically, I have played too many lopsided, boring games, and it is not fun. I like the really hard fought matches that seemingly last longer. Problem is, those seem to be way to few and far between.
It just seems to me the server thing could go a long way in curing that.
On another note, in looking at the past battlelog articles I had seen this one from 3/13 and was not sure if there was any talk about it, although it is pretty basic and I have seem us discuss the main points...but here's a link if you haven't seen it yet:

I do think bf3 does a good job of exchanges in close quarters. I think the gameplay in these situations can be really good. So if the gameplay is covered then the maps have to be of the same standard, or better. I absolutely believe the new map pack can be very good. I just worry that they could get it wrong. I guess what I am saying is, I see the potential and hope it is not squandered.
In reading the 3/13 article and taking another look at it all, I am definitely looking forward to the new pack. I definitely like the idea of the intensity level that they are trying to achieve...that sounds fun.
On some off the wall, I have an idea, other note. I think these maps need elevators. Imagine if on Metro there was an elevator that always dinged and then the doors opened. You'd always have to check it, because you wouldn't know if there was anybody in there. Sometimes there would not be anybody in it, and other times people would come out blasting. Of course it would have the perfect music playing inside to allow one a pleasant escape from the chaos outside. LOL. (Someone needs to invite DICE to this forum.)
