I like the whole renting server thing but last night I went to quick match cause didn't feel like searching through rooms and it put me in a rented server not a dice owned one. Which im ok with until the little spoiled brat that rented it starting killing his team if they were in a vehicle he wanted. Look I know you pay for it and the room is by your rules but really killing me just to get a jet when im in a dog fight is bs. There needs to be some limitations to what you have control over or just make it count against the person running the room. If this what the game is going to turn into then no one will keep playing it. All I wanted to do is play a few matches while I have the chance and now I have to deal with spoiled brats that think they are god. Just my two cents.

I'm also game, I think it would be really fun. I won't be on any this week though. But I'd be up for any game mode and any map. I think they mostly play rush though, right?

This happened to me the other day when I took off in the chopper at the start of the match - killed by Admin. Well, the admin was sitting by the chopper waiting to spawn and I made sure to run him over with the jeep. He banned me...but it was worth it.

Maybe the BAT crew would want to schedule a once a week date, and we could all do our best to show up each week. Maybe we should change our clan tag on those dates to TAB...Tig Azz Bitties! Just kidding.

I finally have a little bit of time today, let me figure out the paypal thing. I won't be on tonight though, as I am going to my mom's for dinner for my brother's birthday.

Alright, I've looked at the paypal thing. I guess if you find it necessary just pm me and I'll give you my email address that is tied to paypal. In looking at the charges and all, it looks like if we have 20 admins the charge per person would be like $1 a month. If we have 10 admins it would be like $2 a month per person. LOL. Maybe we should get together a list of who wants to be an admin.

Okay, let's try to get some kind of count. I think it would be best if we kept our individual total number of votes as low as possible. Basically maps we can't do without, and maps we would really like to see in the rotation.

I'll start by selecting a few myself. I have noticed my map style changes and I will revisit this poll, as I think everyone should, and update my personal votes to include additional maps that I didn't realize I liked so much, or change one I have had enough of. This would allow a rolling current rotation desired list.

Please everybody vote, even if you will hardly spend time on our server. I feel this will bring better gaming to everybody. I still think avs vs. avs is where we will find the most fun.

I keep meaning to play BF3, but I get sucked into ME3 or Shogun 2 Total War. My issue is more of a time thing - ME3 matches are typically 30 minutes a piece. BF3 can be anything - so it's really hard to schedule it in the evening. "Just one more game" has caused strife with the wife, and I often find myself stressed so much more than playing ME3. So I do want to play... just maybe on weekends when I have a big block of time, the wife is out, and I'm laid back enough due to liquid encouragement.

Let's keep those Tehran Highway numbers at 0, I hate everything on that map. I should be back either this weekend, or early next week. I'm taking a sabbatical after the last lag-fest that caused my hairline to move back another cm a week or so ago.

Hey guys! Just wanted to give you all some more info on my proposed match between [BAT] and [AVS], so here's the deal:

Tentative Date: Sunday, May 6th @ 3 PM Eastern Standard Time

Format: 5 rounds of rush, attack and defend. Winner will be determined by the total amount of MCOM's taken throughout the entire match.

Teams: 12 man roster, if you have additional members that want to participate, a rotating roster between rounds if fine (i.e. Shmoopy plays rounds 1 and 2, then drops to make room for hksvr4 etc...).

Server: Both [BAT] and [AVS] have their own servers, the [BAT] one is based out of Europe. I'm based in the East U.S. and I don't tend to have any lag issues playing on that server, but to be fair we could always schedule two different matches, one on the [BAT] server and one on the [AVS] server.

I PM'd Zath about this before announcing anything here on the AVS forums because I wanted to give him a chance to see if there would be sufficient interest amongst the AVS crew. So far it seems that [BAT] will be able to field a full team on the date and time I have suggested, so I'm hoping we can get enough of AVS able to play during that same timeframe.

This is just an informal challenge meant to be a fun match between friends, nothing too serious. We've had one clan match so far vs. the guys and gals from [QRF] using this same format, and it was a lot of fun. The entire match only took about 2 and half hours. Some of those guys aren't quite as experienced as the [AVS] crew is, so after that match I thought it would be fun to see if you guys were down for a little friendly competition.

Any questions or concerns, please post here and I'll be more than happy to answer...otherwise, looking forward to getting this organized!!

lol what's up snake!! Hey, this is just the first friendly match...we can always throw together some more featuring conquest, TDM, whatever everyone wants to do. Playing that first match 12 on 12 against QRF was some of the most fun I've had playing this game, that's why I thought it would be great to get AVS involved. It really gives you a chance to work out tactics and strats that you just don't get to use on a pub server. By the way, team chat works just fine within the game...we were originally going to split the parties up 8 and 4, but once we tried team chat it worked without a hitch.

And just FYI, these are the maps we used for the first match we played:

Operation Metro
Tehran Highway
Sharqi Peninsula

Open to suggestions for maps you'd like to use for [AVS] vs. [BAT].

lmao Zath, at least there was one jet map We're all a little scared of you in the jet, but don't worry, you'll have the chance to showcase your skills in our upcoming match (well, I suppose that depends on the map choice).

Speaking of that, how about [AVS] chooses 3 maps and [BAT] chooses the other 2? Keep in mind, the mode will be rush for this particular match, as I said earlier we're definitely open to other modes for future matches.

One thing I'd like to ask to make the communication/organization easier is for you guys to have a point of contact for this match. It doesn't have to be the official leader of [AVS] or anything, just someone that wouldn't mind taking the lead on this. That way, I can communicate with just one person rather than everyone all at once. Post here or PM me once you've decided who that will be, and we'll make sure we hammer out all the details well ahead of gametime!

After some hard work, and stalking, I was finally able to find and steal a Dice Dev's Dogtag. If I only I could wear it proudly.

Ha I must be the only one but I'm not down with this formally organized "clan match" business. Yeah we PTFO and play together for fun but not that seriously, at least I never thought of it like that.

I do miss playing with a lot of the BAT and QRF people but if we do start playing in regular matches together rather it not be this unnatural and competitive if that makes sense... In any case I'm sure I'll hear all about it even not participating.
