3 Eastern, 2 central on sunday.

Anyone have any problems with how long it will be?

I think so far we are locked at 8-9 guys that are solid, with the other 2-3 being close to a lock.

I should be fine, but I have an 8 month old who takes priority, if she's having a bad day I could miss the entire thing. Or if she is like normal and is the happiest baby alive things should go fine!

If I paid attention to the rulez I'd have just ran another kit to work on those guns. Speaking of that, down to the DAO and MK3A1 shotties. I've opened up 30 or so weapons completely and only have about another 20 to go. The big decision will be whether to stray off my support kit and unlock more or just push support and all kit guns up to 500 each for the tags. I had thought there were some 10 service star tags for guns but must have hallucinated.

For clarification, to do team chat you just go to the squads/team screen and change VoIP from squad to team, right?

Would team chat stress my connection more than 8 people in a xbl party?

Last night decided to dust off the BF3 disc and throw it in the old Xbox. Hadn't played the game really since MW3 came out, I think it took me all of 30 seconds or so to realize what an idiot I am. BF3 is superior in every aspect of the game.

Had a blast playing the game again, and even got a good laugh because I had no clue about the private servers. My 2nd match was a 1,500 kill TDM game, and took about an hour to an hour and a half to finish the damn thing. I think I went something like 84-54 (Metro), and unlocked about 20 different things in that one match. Top player finished with 34k points.

will try to jump on tonight to get some rush games with you guys if anyone is on.

team chat is pretty bad from what I remember only person can talk at once, dunno only other option is having one squad cut off from other two and that doesnt sound good..

whatever we do I think squad orders and spotting will be key to communicate to rest of team

When we played QRF, team chat worked pretty well, but you do need to keep unnecessary chatter down to a minimum to avoid any cutout.

I'll be on tonight as well.

I'd almost just say go with squad chat the first time or two. Squad leaders just make sure to call out which objective you are hitting and it will show up. As long as squad mates are staying on each other it shouldn't be hard to tell what other squads are working on. When people start running opposite directions of the squad is when it could get confusing.
If that doesn't work due to not enough voice coordination then go to team chat the next game(s). If that doesn't work, do the odd squad out.<<--- probably the one has more guys that play together.

I think we should try team chat first and if that doesn't work out then squad. I don't know I could see it both ways. Maybe a smaller map would be better suited to squad and a larger to team chat. Really if we could keep the normal chat/disbelief/laughing whatnot out and only say what is necessary team chat allows everyone to know what is going on. Maybe only the squad leaders could do most the talking, lol.

Last night were some fun games yet again, Rush is still frustrating but it is growing on me slowly. Highlight of the night was popping Jammy's dome while he was mowing my team down in the little bird.

My guess is we will adjust squad perks accordingly as the games are going on. I will most likely be playing mostly recon with TUGS or SOFLAM if requested. MAV is occasionally useful so if somebody sees a need I'll be more than happy to spot. I also enjoy playing support and occasionally assault.

Has everybody confirmed that they will be able to be there?

Yeah, Jammy was none too happy with that shot!

I'm 100% for Sunday unless I have to drive my wife to the airport, in which case I'll be about an hour late to the party.

Just curious here. Would there be any benefit to running 4 squads of three, with two separate party chats? The more I think about having 12 people trying to communicate at once I become aware it may not be the best route. Maybe we should just do squad chat.

But just curious, do guys think 4 in a squad is best. Do you think having 3 in a squad could have any benefit? I haven't really thought about the pluses and minuses of that yet.

Good games last night...brought back memories of Rush domination in BC2. Haven't been a huge fan of Rush in BF3, but that was a lot of fun. Couldn't stop laughing watching C4 raining down on the lemmings on Seine. At what point does someone learn to try a different route?

Sorry if my blitzkrieg approach shorted some of those games.

Well maybe just me but after last night confirmed my opinion that Rush is not for me in BF3... but good to see a big group of us playing together again.

One thing I noticed was that it seemed there was not a lot of spotting last night. Especially on bigger maps makes a big difference -- this will be key (as in BC2 Rush) especially when we got 12 people playing. 8 on the party last night was crazy if that was team chat with 12 wouldn't be able to hear anyone.
