What hard drive back-up software are you using?

I have been using Mozy but they just changed their pricing so I'm thinking of getting a external hard drive and and doing my own back-ups. I would like to get something that was automatic and would back up anything that was new...daily...basically like what Mozy does for me now. Any input would be helpful. Thanks

I just do them manually Copy/Paste any important info onto an external drive about once per month.

If you want to backup your OS drive, I really like the free version of Macrium Reflect.

Why not try Windows backup and restore. Like Servicetech571, files are backed up manually when the particular software doesn't. I use Win 7 and their Image program to make a new image once a month or before new software/update install.

I use Windows Home Server to backup my PCs.

And I use SyncBack to back up the shares on the WHS. I've been using SyncBack since who knows when. Good stuff.

I use and recommend you Handy Backup. It provides both backup software and online backup services. It's the best hard drive backup software I ever used, very easy to use and reliable backup solution.

Robocopy by MS. The only one to use and it's now built into W7.

I've used other graphical programs in the past, but with the correct parameters set Robocopy can show you as much or as little as you want. You do need to create a .bat file for it, but once you do you can then modify the directories for any job on any computer. I have a base file that I've tweaked perfectly for my needs and, if needed, adjust from there. To automate it set it as a task.

Check it out...if you need help, just let me know.
