psn is understeer. Don't really have too much time to play on the weekdays, mostly on weekends at short burst. That why I like just jumping in to death match. Other modes seem to be more of a team games, don't play enough to in clans.

Also, we have a private BF3 server that has been hosting some amazing games (URBAN Warfare Parent Gamers is what it's called I think.)

I'm having some serious hard time aiming. Aiming down the scope feels just like shooting from the hip imo. I have really no issues with aiming with mw3, I'm a former pc shooter gamer and used to the accuracy of the mouse and mw3 controls feels close.

play rush.... there are only 2 objectives at a time to attack or defend at a time.... that alone basically forces a team to function as a team... I don't play in a clan, and I have decent stats on rush because of what I mentioned. If you want to play TDM, COD is the better choice for you.

They would definitely be interested. We had a match a few weeks ago, and they've been looking for another since then. What are the names of the clans and what's your PSN name? I'll give the guy who arranges ours - ullrsdog - a heads up and he'll be in touch. Our clan name is Team MP if you want to check stats.

I think the last match was a mix of Rush and Conquest in a best-of-five format.

My team is KYJ (kinky yo-yo juice) and TGC (the gun circus). I'll let our guy know tonight. We usually play a mix also. We have scrims 2 or 3 times a week. My psn is brandonnash if you want to add me if we haven't already.

I can't believe how difficult it is to find an official Dice server. I asked about it earlier in this thread.

I used to do the random 'quick match' thing but then I get tossed into servers with jacked up settings. The games are set to maximum tickets and I'm always placed on the losing team. No way I'm sitting through 45 minutes of getting spawn camped.

No idea why they are so stingy with their servers, but it is BF3's biggest drawback right now.

A buddy at work said they're implementing a $30 monthly subscription for BF3 online. Any truth to that or is it just internet rumors and hearsay?

That's the talk now, supposed to annouce it at E3 next month.

Edit: Just noticed you said monthly...not monthly, a one time fee like COD Elite

If that happens it will be the end of bf3 for me. I won't pay $30 a month to play something I paid $60 for that came with multiplayer included in the price.

Your buddy is on crack. . .the talk is of something similar to the COD Elite service and presumably will be priced similarly.

My guess is folks are confusing the cost of a dedicated servers and whatever this new service is.

I was just going to say the same thing. I think people are getting confused over the coming announcement that EA will have a premium content service like COD Elite for BF3. IF EA really started charging everyone $30 to play BF3 online, that probably would be the end of the game.

if it includes all of the DLC, I will buy. BF3stats gives you plenty of stats to look at, I can't see them removing it, so I'm not too worried about that.

seems like the trend of console gaming is nickle and dimming for every little content. Not just battlefield but just a trend of all of console gaming. While PC players are enjoying free mods that expand the gaming. Pretty sad. Guess the consumers are getting tired of greedy develpoers and stop supporting them as Capcom came out and said they will be re evaluating DLCs. Remember the good old says of playing the games to unlock characters and levels?

Played last night for the first time in a couple weeks and got my a. ss handed to me big time.

Didn't help that every single game I entered had me placed on the team that was getting spawn camped. After 45 minutes of that I said enough is enough and put in a different game.

I hope this game doesn't suffer from "Warhawk-idis" (where the learning curve is so steep that players get so good it eventually weeds out EVERYONE except the experts), but it's starting to appear that way.

For the first time ever, I played a game where every single player on the other team was a colonel. Props to them for investing the time and getting really, really good at it but people like me can't even come close to keeping up with it.

Every single vehicle I faced had that enemy detection radar. In the rare case that I did escape a spawn, I'd get discovered immediately (even while hiding) and get destroyed.

Yikes.

I've only put about 13 hour into it and am getting bored already. It's fun sometimes, other times it's a snorefest...I might getting burned out on shooters in general

Seems like the only time the helicopters help is in spawn camping situations.

Once everyone gets concentrated, the heli's can attack and stop any vehicle that leaves the spawn.

Any other time they don't do anything other than fight other heli's and spray 20%'s worth of damage onto everyone and everything.
