Battlefield 3 For PS3 - Page 50

I usually play a few nights a week and some weekend play. Mainly close quarters, but also hit up conquest maps when my bro in law is on. Armored kill in and off as well.

PSN - AznNY83

Add me and just say AVS so I know its from here

Sent you a request btw.
Oh and the new maps are pretty fun. Getting used to them but I'm doing better.

Thanks, I'll accept tonight, didn't get much play time in this weekend, too much football to watch.

Has anyone played the "gunmaster"? these really adds a new strategy to Team Death Match, I was really digging it, kind of sucks if you join a gain in progress and you have a pistol going up against shotguns and sub machine guns, but stay in till the next round, and you'll have a better chance, highly recommend for a break from the other modes. Gun master uses only the close quarters maps.

ok I need some clan inspiration that can tolerate a noob that sucks lol

hit me up on psn : sterlingsilv3r80

Do you have a microphone? If so come on and play with my team. I will add you when I get home in a bit. I will be playing some today and tonight later. We have a few new guys and we don't mind teaching.
ok cool, i usually don't play on the weekends (gf comes over or I go there...) but I don't play with a mic, but I do have one though
post #1476 of 1615
Jump on here in a few and I will be on. You should use your mic. If you decide to join up with my team we do require one. You can't coordinate attacks if you don't know what others are doing.

I have a question for you guys, last night I had a problem while playing BF3, my theory is that is a problem with my D pad part of the controller, but I want to know if you have had the problem I´m about to explain:

While playing BF3 sometimes changes the gun mode (like pressing the Dpad "down" button), and sometimes the accesories appear, as if I pressed right or left Dpad buttons.

Hand´t checked with my other ps3 controller, if have time i will this night.
Have you ever had this type of problem?
Check your other controller. I use an old controller and it gets stuck sometimes. If you have had it a while and never cleaned it that could be the problem. You would be amazed how much gunk can end up in your controller after years of use.

Hey folks! New member on the forum. I'll look you guys up for some squad action. PSN name is the same as here.

After Checking Both controllers this weekend this is what I found:
NOTHING, the god damn controllers worked fine, excepting for one time in wich changed equipment without wanting to .mad.gif

I´ll keep checking them to see what happens.rolleyes.gif

I have to say, the new maps, aftermath, are great, welcome addition to the game. I've played most of them in close quarters, Gun Master, conquest, and even scavenger, but haven't got around to rush, which is on the plate for this weekend, I've developed an addiction for gun master, I've never won a match, I can take the lead up to the third from the last gun, bolt action sniper rifle, and I've only got past it I think twice, arg, you almost have to turn in to a camper to get your kills, but I'm addicted to it, and can't stop playing it.

On a side note, I'm getting the itch for a new game as I've been playing this one for over a year, anyone have a recommendation for something current or up coming out in the next few months similar to BF3? I've decided not to for go Black ops 2, kind of bored with Call of duty and I'll be skipping it for now, I'm looking for a shooter that offers good online play and offers something more than just team death match. Any one have any feedback on the latest Medal of Honor, Ghost Recon, Spec ops the line, Far Cry, and I'm sure there are others. While its not of primary importance, I think something in 3d would be cool, from time to time I'll pull out black ops 1, just to play in 3D.

I'm absolutely recommending Far Cry 3.

I haven't played it yet (picking it up Friday), but from all the videos and articles I've seen it's just incredible.

"I haven't played it yet" renders your recommendation rather useless.

Haha,

Yeah, but in the chairman,s defense, seems others who have played, are in agreement, but it looks to be a 3rd person shooter, not a first person, might be hard to adjust, also while the single player campaign has received good reviews, the multi-player is not as impressive.

I might just hold out for Battler Field 4? I hope this would show up before Q4 2013.

Quick update, I finally won a round of Gun Master, it's only taken roughly 2-3 months of playing, but I've finally won. Lol.

No, no - Far Cry is DEFINITELY first person shooter.

(You can read my comments in the Far Cry thread, don't wanna use the BF thread for my opinions on another game any more than I already have)

That said, I have dipped into the waters of the Aftermath Expansion and wow, what amazing maps. I'm not a big fan of Scavenger, but the maps are just... incredible. Way to go Dice - major, major props.

I could have told you a way to win that wouldn't have taken that long. Start in a match with 5 or 6 people. They almost always fill up and when they do you have a head start. I am not a fan of gun master.

Ah, where is the fun in that.
Fun for me since I don't like gun master. If I get past the .44 quickly I am usually good. I won't play gun master unless its in the server rotation and I am playing with friends.

if you have you own server, you can change the Rules around, played some over the weekend where they had it setup going in reveres order, you start with the sniper rifle, and work your way backwards and others have completely changed all the guns, fun stuff.

Thinking of getting back into this. Is the $40 premium deal going on at amazon a "good deal"? PSN has them for $15 each right?
Yeah, the DLC Maps are $15 dollar each on the PSN. Which is why I think the premium disc version is a good deal. Aftermath just came out and there still is the End Game DLC in March.

I also think having all the map packs is a bit better since you'll never get booted from a server if a map comes up that you don't have.
Aftermath maps are awesome I think.
I totally agree.

Most of my time lately has been sucked up by Far Cry 3 and Black Ops 2, but I have jumped in a few games of BF3, and those maps are great.

Trader, lol, but really how is it? I've purchased Call of duty 1, 2, 3, skipped 4, 5( was world at war? Maybe), purchase MW2, and Black Ops 1, didn't do the online play unit world at war, but I was burned out after Blackops, not much changed, game play was the same, don't get me wrong, it was fun, but they really need to do something different for those thats been playing the series for a number of years, but I mentioned this before, playing in 3d is kind of cool, gimmick yes, but cool.

How is it? Well, it's... Call of Duty. NO great shakes in regards to innovation. But it's fun, I like it. It does what it does (which is MUCH less than what BF3 brings to the table) very well.
