the beta had way more glitches than bf2 ever did and there were no vehicles or csw's (crew service weapons) to try.

well I officially took the day off from work next week to play the game... I'm excited.. never took a day off for game release before but i think it might worth it with this one.. i've heard the complaints about the beta, but it was just that a beta... If i end up hating it, then i'll just sell it back and continue to play BC 2. anyone else taking the day to do the same?

I'm actually going to pass on it. There are so many great games that have/will come out and the poor beta gives me a great excuse to not bother with this one for now.

Me too. I'll probably get it eventually. Stuck on Batman now and Uncharted the first of Nov.

I saw that, it seems strange, I can't seem to remember a major release that lacked independent reviews before release.

Nice, despite all the controversy of the buggy beta, I'm getting pretty psyched for this release. I hope it's good. I think in particular it will be pretty interesting to see if they have put enough weaponry in the game so as not to make usage of air vehicles overpowered.

So the beta has 99 problems but a glitch ain't one?

It was a beta. Not a demo. You shouldn't be judging the game at all in the beta. It isn't meant for that.

reviews for big titles like this are always biased, paid for crap anyway, I wouldn't trust any of the reviews from any of the big sites, especially the exclusive "first" ones as Dice gave them the go ahead and probably paid them in benefits to give a good first review of the game. Remember GTA4 getting a 10/10? haha

I'm still excited for next tuesday, and I am sure I'll be spending way too much time with this one, just like BFBC1, 2 and now this. I think the real question is, to play the campaign first, or to dive right into multiplayer while the bugs are still being sorted out?

i see this releae no different as modern warfare. this will probaly take like 1 or 2 weesk before online play is really good.

even battlefield 2 many times my stats are not updated.

that said as everybody else cant wait. this is the game i looked forward to the most.

I was told by Amazon CS if you pre-ordered through amazon before this offer went live, you are still getting it.

I've got a very short window to pre-order this and use the credit toward Uncharted 3. The reviews are certainly spectacular.

This game is awesome! Single player is siiiiick.

According to Amazon, BF3 (ps3) currently sold out. Interesting considering I pre-ordered 5 months ago and my copy has not shipped. Maybe they kicked me to the end of the line for not ordering premium shipping. Oh well UC3 comes out next week It's getting better reviews anyway.

I have PS3 and 360. Have no idea which console version to buy. Just wondering if this game has 3D capability on PS3

Update: i was reading on the xbox forum and it has two dvds. I hate swapping dvds when playing. Also it has a high def texture pack to install from disc 1. Does the PS3 version has also this hidef texture packs to install? Seems i will get the ps3 version

PS3 uses Blu Ray, so all on one disc. Patch download and game install in 10 minutes for me. The graphics are pretty good. The colors seems very bland in comparison to BC2 and Vietnam. Pretty good MP experience so far!

BTW, I posted that around 12:30, even though the disc does not erase.

what are you guys using for the audio option? i have an avr so i chose "home cinema"

I read that some people are disappointed with the demolition in this game compared to Bad Company 2. I can't find much more info about building destruction... What are your observations?
