Best 3D content for Samsung LED TVs

Thread Starter
Going to finally be picking up a 3D blue-ray player for my UN55C7000 and am reaching out to everyone to see what you all think are the movies with the least amount of cross-talk and best pop on the Samsung LED's.

I can see what movies seem to be the best all around, but seeing as a lot of users here are plasma owners as well as LED owners, I wanted to here from the LED owners only to get a good idea. So far my only experience with 3D on this TV has been what is in the Samsung 3D app and what clips I could get in side-by-side or over-under, and it has not been very good. My hope is that the 3D blue-ray is a step above that.

So, what do you recommend?

my top 5 picks
Resident Evil: Afterlife
Saw 3d
Step up 3D
Monster House
Despicable Me

Minimal cross-talk in all and good pop?

As for content, Time Warner Cable has a lot of free on demand 3D movies and shorts. Plus they have some pay per view 3D movies.

VUDU (which you can get on your Samsung TV) also has a number of free 3D trailers and full 3D movies to watch.

yes I have 15 3d blu-rays, these have the best 3d. 3d is more about depth not things popping out of the screen, yes you get those moments but there are few of them. I would highly recommend reading the reviews of the movies before you buy. I have bought some bad movies just because they where 3d.

I agree with Resident Evil but would add:

Christmas Carol
Alice in Wonderland

both with amazing depth!

What equipment are you all running on?

Ok, throw in Avatar as I just received last night. Easily the best of the bunch.

Samsung 55UNC8000 with Samsung 6900 ran through an Onkyo 608.

I would have to add Monsters vs Aliens. I thought the 3D was great.

Open Season for sure.

Step-up has some really cool parts
How to Train your dragon

I had Time Warner but their free 3D was really bad IMHO. I just swited over to Direct TV and it's 100xx better with their 3D content

Watched Despicable Me over the weekend and it may be the best. Almost no crosstalk and amazing depth.

Why are people recommending Avatar when the thread starter asked for 3D content that is compatible with his Samsung LED?
Because the AVATAR Blu-ray 3D will play on any 3D blu-ray player and any 3D TV.

Gotcha. Single blu ray movies that cost over $100 like Avatar 3D are not compatible with my Sammy.....at least that's what my wife said.

I have Monster House and it came with a preview of Open Season on it. The crosstalk in the Open Season preview look terrible. But, you think it's not bad on the actual copy? Can I ask what TV you have?

I have Open Season and the crosstalk is not that bad. I have a Samsung 55UNC8000.
