hc4900 replacement bulb

Hc4900 with almost 3000 hours and the bulb is about to go. I have some questions about getting a replacement blub.

1. I see many different price of bulbs online, which one is the best bulb for the $$??? I want a bulb that will last as long as the OEM but i don't want to pay $350 bucks for one either.

2. Online there are choices of getting either the bulb or the bulb and the housing? I am mechaniclly inclined and I believe I can change out either one but which is the best/easiest/cost effective one to get?

3. What is the deal with the big swing in pricing? Mitsubishi price is $350 and Amazon has one from a company called "Electrified" for $188. Is there a difference in preformance with the less expencive one, is it a manufacture thing? just want to know?

thanks
RK

I'm in your same position now. What did you decide?

I just purchased and installed a cheapie bulb-only replacement from ebay. Shipping took less than two weeks from Hong Kong. $90 plus 10 minutes careful work, and I have a working HC4900 again. The picture seems fine, although I haven't done any instrumented testing.
