Is it possible to take the VCR IR control output from a RCA DSS box and connect it to the "input" of a Xantech IR zone connecting block?
I'm thinking about using IR bugs for all of my HT gear, but I'm left with the question of how to "adapt" the existing IR bug from the DSS to the VCR to recording from the DSS box.
Can the output of the RCS DSS VCR ir "bug" serve as an "IR detector for the input to the IR zone connecting block?
If a direct connection via "signal" and "ground" isn't recommended/possible can a circuit be used with an opto-isolator?
