Flat Panel Resolution too Big

Just fired up my HTPC and the screen resolution is too big. I can't see the task bar and each side. The resolution says 1920X1080 but the display is off the edges and it says it's a TX-SR606. That's the model of my Onkyo receiver. I have a Samsung 40" 1080p LCD. I plugged the HDMI from the HTPC into the receiver and then from the receiver to the TV. Should it be the other way around? HDMI from the HTPC to the TV and then from the TV to the receiver?

I right clicked on the desktop to the Intel graphics panel and there's a customized scaling feature but I don't think I want to get into that.

Win 7 with Intel i3-530

Thanks

Try changing the "P.Size", IIRC Samsungs have a "native" or similar aspect ratio mode that doesn't have the normal overscan.

Disable overscanning on your TV Check your TV user's manual to find out how.

In the Samsung menu I selected picture> size and selected 'just scan' and it fixed it.

Do I have the HDMI connections right? HTPC to receiver to TV?

Thanks again
