Amazon Basics HDMI cables?

I was checking out the Amazon Basics HDMI cables and noticed that they do not say what gauge they are. Does anyone know? Are they 24AWG, 26AWG, or 28AWG?

Is there a reason you care? They all claim to be high speed HDMI cables.

The thicker the guage the better protection from interference but the stiffer the cable. Just like to know exactly what I'm buying ahead of time.

Wire gauge doesn't have a significant effect on interference, just attenuation. It is relevant for longer cables.

My guess is the Amazon cables are made with the smallest wire that will allow the cable to pass the HDMI high speed certification test. There is really no need for larger than that.

You don't happen to know what guage that would be do you. I actually do need a longer run so now I really would like to know.

Has anyone out there bought Amazon Basic cables yet that knows what the guage is?

Smallest gauge typically used is 28 AWG. How long a cable do you need?
