NTSC to Pal Switch toshiba

Hello together,

I have just moved from Germany to the USA. And bought from a colleague, a Toshiba regaza 40XV645U.
I am using a german Panasonic DVD-Player. Both are connected both via HDMI.
Both System are linked, so I can hear music, voices and so on, but my problem is, the picture is missing only black.

I guess, there is anything about pal and ntsc but I am not sure...
Does anybody know a switch or setting, to solve the problem?

I'd say move on,get yourself a blurayplayer and dvd's will look better.

You might own a lot of Pal dvd's,when your Regaza not supports Pal it won't work also your dvd-player should be universal.
Its not all bad ,you no longer have to deal with nachsychronisirung.
