I'm the happy owner of a Denon AVR-791, but I have one little annoyance, which seems to be related to the way the unit sleeps/sends EDID data...
Everytime I turn the unit on--no matter what input it is on--my gaming PC monitor blinks off then on, maybe 2 or 3 times...
I understand this is probably caused by the HDMI handshake, but it's really annoying when I'm doing something important (like playing a game!) and my wife turns on the PS3 and my monitor blanks out at a crucial moment!
Is there any way to fix/reduce this problem?
My setup is a Radeon HD4890 w/DVI-HDMI adapter -> AVR-791 -> Viewsonic N4285P TV...
I'm hoping to have a new Radeon HD 6950, so perhaps this will fix the problem
