We have been seeing the PDK's give out at around 580 whp, although there are upgrades in the works (actually I have not been on the car forums much since my new HT obsession, so maybe the upgrade is a reality).

The thing about the PDK's is that they shift so fast that they enable the car to compete w/ a car w/ more power.

I was running about 600 rwhp on pump gas and my friends Turbo S w/ just a chip was hanging with me.

I was shocked. Unbeknownst to him, the next time I added some race gas and turned up the boost. Each .1 bars of boost make 35 more rwhp.

His reaction was "what happened...your car just took off"

BTW, in regards to the Evoms car, they exaggerate their numbers (of course nearly everyone else does as well) and that is why only dyno #'s can be trusted.

Actually over on 6 speed (the AVS of Porsch) only 60-130, mile, or trap speeds carry weight.

I gotta ask... which is your favorite?

Lambo is an LP 560-4. There is also a Nera, but thats not a driver, its one of the collection pieces in storage.

I honestly couldn't pick a fave. Those cars, along with the 458 and Range Rover, each have their own character.

Having said that, I do have to say that I feel Ferrari is something apart from other marques.

Coldmachine. Thanks for posting. I was feeling a bit lonely as the only loser on the forum driving a Hyundai, but in one brilliant stroke you have relegated everyone else hanging around here to my fellow losers!

The Genesis is a very nice car, I almost bought one over my E350.

That is exactly the point. It Genesis is a very nice car. The problem is I am driving a Sonata, which puts my rock bottom in the vehicular losers category, just shy of folks taking the bus to work.

Cool photos Art, you should be proud. A great family certainly trumps any material possessions.

I cant let you think, for one second, that I dint notice that the last image was also a blatant attempt to turn this thread into a gun show.

"Hey ladies get your tickets to the gun show. Gun show is this way."

Great take on the thread! My greatest satisfaction with my toys, is the ability to share in the excitement and fun with my family. When my Turbo S arrived, I think they were as excited for my excitement as I was! Made the delivery so much better!

Great looking group, Art. You're a lucky guy.

Thanks Ash. I try to do them justice by enjoying them to the full.

I hope you have the opportunity to be able to do the same with yours.

Cold,
First is family and next is health and then are the toys...
My 15 year old Son is totally in awe of the 458 - I plan to take him to Ferrari factory when he turns 16... I tell him that if he wants one he needs to work hard ... he can get one too when he grows up... These toys can be a good motivation for some..
Between my two sports cars and two trucks I own - I barely put any miles on these vehicles as I live 10 minutes from work and travel overseas extensively... I do have to work to be able to afford these toys.
With your big stable I am sure you own a bunch of trickle chargers... BTW - I love your wine cellar I wish I had a big one... but I cannot move as my Theater which is my first love is attached to the house...

I wanted to put up pics of my family because, although I love my toys as well ,I really get the most joy from them. Seeing them grow up is not something I can describe really.

As far as time spent, it's work, children, toys but no doubt the fortress of solitude with an old movie is still my recharge.

My CLS 550 is pretty but really is just my work transportation. I was surprised at how quickly I lost the new toy feeling with it compared to my theater stuff where it almost never seems to fade.

For the most part ,this thread reminds me of the one removed years ago by rastegaste in Chicago. His loft ,fine toys and hot ladies was a great way for an old fart like me to feel like I actually lived like that when I was young.

Great video

How gorgeous is that Audi... If it had 4 seats, it would've been my first choice!

Rob,

I'm a huge Canon head and your photography skills are great!
Your glass/body inventory is insane! Congrats!

I see only one lens missing from your repertoire since you are an awesome landscape photographer:

The Canon TS-E 17mm f/4L
It's an unbelievable piece of glass, absolutely unique.
Consider adding it to your incredibly impressive arsenal...

I too collect wine ( and my 350Z can't compete with your guys cars ) !
We have about 1600 bottles - around 350 brunellos ( '97, '99 and 2001 ), some Barolos, some vintage Champagne, lots of red and white Burgundies, red and white Bordeaux and quite a few Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Many of our bottles are magnums. Napa cabs and local Siearra foothill wine sround things out.

We also like to rock climb and big wall climb !!

Thank you for the compliments. I have always wanted to try a TS-E but haven't yet. I love Zeiss glass (especially the 2.8/21 and 2/35). Prior to those I pretty much stuck to a 16-35 II.
BTW, Craig you are livin' the life! I would love to have the guts, skill, and patience to climb. I remember being a kid looking up at the flashlights on El Capitan in the evening. I thought the climbers were some type of super humans. I probably wouldn't be able to scale the rocks at the Pinnacles.

I $#*% myself just looking at the pictures!

When I was a younger man, I dog clawed the top of a MUCH smaller cliff we were climbing, and at another time almost broke my neck riding a dirt bike. I didn't even think about climbing back up on those horses!

You sir, have big brass balls. I've seen El Capitan many times and it looks plenty fine from the ground!

Rob, I'm with you on the Zeiss Distagon. Legendary glass with insane micro-contrast detail.

Since you are such a skilled photog, you'll find the TS-E's steep learning curve quite a bit easier to climb than most of us (like El Capitan Craig Peer above

Check this forum to see what this lens can do:

http://photography-on-the.net/forum/...d.php?t=701861

It's a dedicated page of pic samples of the lens.
The page started when the lens was first available (2009) and the fist few pictures were taken as their users were getting comfortable with it. As the thread pages turn, you can experience some jaw-dropping images that, literally, no other lens in the world can enable to be captured.

The best part is my wife loves climbing ( and kayaking, and mountaineering, and home theater ) just as much as I do. I finally found my perfect partner and best friend !!

I'm just a humble medic and know that neither I, nor my '02 S4, belong here. However, i thought I'd mention to the other gearheads that if you're looking to get your car on the track check out MVPTracktime.com . I did a weekend with them last year at Road Atlanta and had a blast. Treated myself and my dad to the weekend and couldn't have been happier with the organizers and how smoothly it all went. Lots of Porsches, GT-Rs, a Ferrari with beginner, intermediate and advanced classes so the experienced drivers don't have to worry about noobs. They do weekend events all over the country.
