Other than the price

Well, the thing that is similar about them is that they are both two-bay bow tie UHF antennas. Performance and construction may differ somewhat, though.

hn333, I can tell you firsthand, the build quality of the Eagle-Aspen is excellent. It is a great, sturdy outdoor UHF antenna, if UHF is all you need. I have purchased several of those in the past. Some antennas from antennas direct are also good, but IMO, many are overpriced, including the one you linked to.

The difference is that the cheaper antenna is below the threshold for free shipping.

You did need a splitter and a jumper cable too, right?

Thanks for the feedback. Looks like just the antenna I need.

What's the difference? The difference is a non-specific topic title will get fewer responses.

Topic title edited.

The difference is that anything that says Antennas Direct on it has a 40% markup just for the name.

Have you checked to be sure there are no VHF channel allocations in your area?
BTW...if there are no DTV channels on VHF, you might want to purchase a small FM antenna (yagi or omni-directional) and a diplexer. That would get you up there in the "free shipping" area.

I only have one VHF channel in my area.

You may not get the VHF station with the DB-2.

They are both very similar. I think there is mainly a bit of a difference in the balun, but not sure how this effects reception of specific channels. Perhaps DB2 not as good on VHF.
