Sentry gun:

2 RPG + 1 C4 will not destroy a Sentry gun, however, stabbing it once will. Awesome! Who needs guns when you can just knife. I guess they were wrong when they came up with the phrase, "don't bring a knife to a gun fight"...guess IW showed them huh



Juggs:

24-30 bullets vs. 5 stabs or 4 knife throws. I wasted my tokens on extra classes when I could have just created the ultimate class having a riot shield and throwing knife with tactical knife and I will be set. Boooyyyyaaaah!

While I agree that it seems silly that an RPG or other launcher does not take down a Sentry, I figure it as if I am close enough to touch it, I would then have the ability to disable it. And since the only way we can interact in the MW3 environment is walk/run/jump/shoot/knife/crouch/lay down... That limits the knock over or what I miss, hack the sentry gun. I wish they kept the hack feature that Blops had. How much fun would that have made it with the decoys and different sentry guns and other equipment?...

Funny thing is I didn't appreciate some of the things BLOPS had until this game came out. You see, I am a die hard MW2 fan and I have many good reasons to be so. When I played BLOPS, it started out very shaky but patches were released to make the game better. It still suffers from lag and hit detection but not like MW3. Also, lots of things were improved in BLOPS, like the mini map with grids and zone numbers so you can easily tell your teammates where the danger is. I liked the implementation of the perk that tells you where the enemy is camping when you throw a stun grenade. Didn't care too much for the slow paced gameplay and definitely didn't like the super under powered explosives.

Anyway, what I am trying to say is that even a die hard MW2 fan like me would rather play BLOPS than this game. I played MW2 last night and got in ground wars and the only thing that kept annoying me was host migration. Everything else just works. I didn't have people spawn out of my body, didn't have enemies spawn behind me and I sure didn't spawn in a middle of firefight or a group of enemies.

Anyone playing Spec. Ops? I've been giving it a try lately, mostly for a change and to get some of the Achievements, but getting into an online match with a random was almost impossible yesterday. If anyone sees me on and is interested, let me know! My GT is Taurus570!

I'm trying to think what MW2 did better than COD4 and I can't think of anything. I can think of things it did worse but nothing it improved on.

Funny how that game is still "the one". COD4 was as perfect as you could have gotten IMO. Game was balanced, guns were pretty equal. I've yet to use an LMG in MW3, they're just not good. Killstreaks worked and weren't unfair. I liked that you could wait to call in your chopper and it would work up a new killstreak. Maps were all good, it set the bar so high that it almost made each new installment a slight disappointment. I'm such a junkie though...I like em all!!

My opinion on that is that your better than average run and gunners liked the ridiculous amount of kill streaks that their better than average abilities allowed them to get. Plus if you liked explosives, they were very readily available and with the right perks devastating. I loved claymores in MW2. Was known for them I used them to such a lethal degree. I also used the perk that reloaded them (scavenger). That was about all I liked about it. Well the maps. but I mainly camped an area.

But better than COD 4... not really. In actual game play and balance.

COD4 was good because it kept things to a minimum. However, it isn't without fault. Quickscoping and getting quad kills can be repeated over and over in certain maps. I am not knocing COD4 and I enjoyed it a lot before it got hacked with no chance of getting fixed. MW2, had really good maps and I won't argue that it doesn't have faults but neither COD4 and MW2 had lag and hit detection issue BLOPS and MW3 share though. That's what makes the gameplay not enjoyable. It's not too bad when you play solo but as soon as you play as a party, it takes a dump. Worse when you party up with people from two opposite sides of the coast.

MW3 did screw up big time with the support strike package. EMP going off every second and the bright flashes enough to put someone into epileptic shock. Steatlh bomber coming in from every direction and these are people who suck a$$ in the game.

Don't matter. We all had this back and forth arguments over and over again. I started playing MW2 again and if anyone want to join its cool with me. I am also open to play Spec Ops in MW3.

Anyone one here want to join me in a 4v4 tourney we are having at slickdeals? I can only bring in ONE player, and they have to play on my team (sorry ). I know you guys talk and can call out good team info. Most matches will end up being around 8-10 PM on week nights.

Did this too. Claymore city with scavenger. If anything, mw3 actually has made me get out of my camping habits and back to run and gunning. Mw2 I camped to get killstreaks greater than 10.

I want this game to be good and I want IW to make the changes I mentioned before and design better maps where you don't have to feel like you are walking on eggshells.

We know public matches can be crappy so I am interested to see how private matches play out. You gonna try it out?

How much is it? I'd semi interested in seeing how my skills fare against others with my top class.

The high "cheese factor" was the only thing I didn't like about MW2. Maps were off the charts good, nice gun variety, etc, but the cheese, the commandoweightathoners and shotgunners in particular, as well as the insane amount of noob tubers, made that game a chore to play and the most frustrating in the entire series....in my opinion.

Honestly, had they nerfed the crazy knifing and the rest of the cheese, it might have actually been the best of the bunch.
