The Vision is an i5 mobile CPU. Can't really compare the two like you have done. Try to compare some benchmarks if you want to compare the two.
8GB RAM is largely uneeded compared to 4GB in HTPC applications but only about an extra $10-$20 even if you wanted it.
Also our machines can come without a SSD, Hard Drive or really anything else for that matter as it would be deducted off the price.
I guess that's one of the benefits of using a completely custom machine.
