Thanks Nick i'll try it after the game. #GoHeat

Not sure why....but now the 65" XBR 929 is no where to be found on the Sony website. It actually now shows only available sizes as 46" and 55". Thoughts?

This is what I had to do. But don't think really have do full reset.

Reset my tv 3 times. After reset have do the initial setup. Once to the internet part. Chose wire or wireless. This point the guy had me go to my pc, and open and do ipconfig/all to get my ip address, dns numbers default gateway numbers. Then I input them into the tv. Ip address like this. 111.111.1.2. Put in the tv 111.111.1.20. Then under network (in home screen). Refresh internet content. Bam got it all.

Trying to figure out what this review at Amazon is trying to say:

The only issue I am noticing right now is some kind of crease along left edge of the TV. It is not that noticeable but if you are picky like myself you will notice it. It is about 1/4 inch wide. I am not sure if this panel was not handled properly during shipping to the store. I am going back to Sony store to check if display model have this issue. I will post my findings latter..

What is a "crease" when talking about TVs? I don't get what he is trying to explain. Does he mean an area with no pixels?

Has anyone heard that the 65" version has been discontinued? No longer on the website for Sony.

I hope your right...believe me, but it was on the website yesterday as available screen sizes and now it is not.

If 65HX929 is not available this year - then check out Sharp 935 with local dimming - it's a 70 incher, and it's supposed to come out around the same time as the 65HX929 - sometime in July-September. I know that's what I'm gonna do

Have been following for a while and just joined, great forum! I am based in the south of Thailand and will get delivery of the 55HX925 this coming Sunday:-)

As a comment to postings about the future availability of the "65, I can confirm that it has also been pulled from the sony.co.th website after having been displayed there up until a few days ago. However, the "55 was also pulled last week only to appear again two days ago and when I asked customer service they said it was only taken off to add details to specifications and details... maybe this is the case with the "65(?)

That makes sense to me. Even the Sony Asia site is missing the dimensions.
Also, I have seen other sites giving the dimensions of the 55" for the 65". So, maybe something is going on. I hope so.

My first time posting a pic on here. Hopefully it worked. Not the best, you can see the holes in my wall where I had my plasma. This one will go on the wall as well eventually.

Do you see the widget icon in the home screen? If not most likely your network or ip address is the cause.

Hi!

I have preordered the 55HX920 and have one question:

Does the TV come with the necessary screws to wallmount it? I have Omnimount U3 wall mount which I hope to reuse for this tv.

Thanks for any help!

Anders
^ no...but if you kept you leftover hardware that came with the Omnimount it will most likely have the hardware that will work.

Screen uniformity isn't as good on my particular 929 as it is on my 909.

Do you mean clouding as screen uniformity problem or uneven backlight seen with constant grey level?

I seem to have misplaced the extra screws and spacers that were included with the wall mount

Found the answer myself by downloading the HX929 manual online.

The tv is shipped with the correct screws (m6) attached to the rear of the tv.

The crews are there but not the spacers.

Call me old fashioned, but I think wired connections are so much better then wireless. Best move I ever made was wiring with cat 6 cable, which was overkill, only use wireless for a laptop. Seems the devices respond so much better to wired connections, instead of wireless.

For crying out loud the 65" is not coming out until the fall like they said from the beginning.

Can one of you 46HX929 owners tell me where the AC wire enters the back of the of the unit? (Lower left, middle, lower right?) I'm waiting for my 46HX929 to arrive and want to order an Omnimount 54HDARMUA articulating wall mount for it and I want to be sure the VESA mounting adaptor that comes with the wall mount does not block it. I can't find any images of the back of the unit that show its entry point.

Thanks, Bill

Also, can you tell me the purpose of the hump on the middle right (above the HDMI connections) that sticks out about 3/4 inches on the back of the unit is for?
Back lower mid right as you look at the front, just like the ex723. Let me know if you need a measurement from the stand mounting screws.
