My 210 was doing fine on streaming with 1.63 firmware. Now on 1.68, I'm noticing consistent flashing and audio drop out. It's not my connection because the PS3 is streaming perfectly. I have a 15 mbps connection. So at least for me, the firmware has made my streaming worse.

I've done it...after 16 months of frustration with my Samsung BDC6500, I am ditching Samsung and replacing it with the Panny 210. My TV is a Panasonic V10 and I have loved it. I grabbed the player today from Amazon for $166 new and figure that with the free Avatar 3D blu ray that I'll turn around and sell, I'm basically getting around 60 to 75 bucks off. A hundred bucks for this player seems like a great deal.

With that said, I can't wait to begin regularly following this thread. With a hundred pages already, I'm not sure how much backreading I'll do, but I'm hoping I simply don't have any issues that bring me to this board seeking help.

With that said, have there actually been any issues that have been fairly regular or consistent for a large amount of owners?

Thank you!

The main issue is Netflix streaming going black for a second could be once could be several times. The other issue is playing different files. For Bluray and DVD it"s fantastic at least for me.

Put that Avatar disc up for sale ASAP, sold mine for $120 back in late May.

My wife is always turning subtitles on and off so this is important to me.
Use the "playback" menu. That'll allow you to alter some things, such as subtitles, on-the-fly, w/o stopping the disc.

Netflix streaming and menu is crap on this machine, all my other wireless devices work great. Going to return this one, oh well at least got an avatar 3d for the trouble...

Need some help with audio settings.
I have my bdt210 connected to HK AVR3600 by HDMI. When I play BD with DTS Master Audio my receiver showing just DTS 3/2/1. I looked at the setup menu and turned secondary audio off to avoid conversion from DTS Master to DTS, the output is set to bitstream not PCM. So it should be outputing an original sound track without modification.
Additional to that when I have my display window open in a first row with BD disk icon it says DTS Master Audio, but on a third row with HDMI icon it says DTS. What is wrong? Could it be a Bad disk or because it rental from red box it might have some flag to not play the proper way? Very confused, please help.

If you have other devices that work great streaming Netflix, why does it matter? Did you only buy it for Netflix? And if so, why?

two questions: is 1.65 the most current fiemware for the BDT110? And my stereo L/R jacks don't work when 24P is on, will this ever get fixed?

1.68 came out last week. If your unit is connected to the net you can check for yourself.
Is any of you guys checked the playback informatio window?
I wonder why mine 210 is showing disk audio is DTS-HD Master, but HDMI out as DTS. Secondary audio is set to off and digital audio output is set to bitstream.
Thanks.
I just had a conversation with panasonic support, and they recomend to turn audio out to PCM. Is that right? In that case my receiver will get a multichanel PCM and not like DTS bitstream. Am I correct or I confuse something?
Am I missing something, or can you NOT download new apps for the 110? My GT30 has a link to the app store (Vierra Connect?) and can get other apps, my 110 is lacking the MLB.tv app and a way to download new ones. I just got the 1.68 update the other day and started looking around the Vierra apps on the 110 for the first time. Is the way it has always been?
BD players have always been this way. You get what Panasonic gives you. BD players use Vierra Cast. It is different than Vierra Connect on the 30s.

I have a really important question, I hope somebody can help me. I live in Europe therefore my TV works with 50Hz, but I want to buy a Region A BDT210 Blu-Ray player from US because I have Region A discs. On a forum they said that this player isn't compatible with 50Hz displays. Can this problem be solved with the enhanced firmware from firmwareinfo.com because it says it will make the player region free? If I use this firmware on my player will it play Region A discs with my 50Hz TV?
Thank you in advance!

As Michaelscott said, if you are connected to the web, it will prompt you to update or you can update through the menu. If you are not connected to the web, you can download it and burn a disc from the global support site:

And...? For whatever reason it takes them a while to post the latest update. LowBudget5.1 posted the 1.68 release notes back here--I have no idea where he found them. Discussion of 1.68 in this thread began on the 25th, with this post.

If your BDTx10 is connected to the net and you have "Auto Update" (or something like that) enabled, it will check occasionally and tell you if a new firmware release is available. You can also perform the check manually through the player's settings menus.

EDIT: A download page with 1.68 can be seen here.

Yes, I sold mine for $118 netting just over $100. Plus you're much less liklely to get ripped off on amazon, and they give you back part of the shipping fee.

Thanks, it's always good to hear about good deals, but Amazon now has it for $104 and $7.99 shipping. It's really a heck of a deal considering you can get over a $100 on Amazon for the Avatar disc.

Correct. Let the player do the conversion.

Well since you asked, I already have a 3d player in the home theater room and an xbox for Netflix. I wanted the avatar 3d disc and needed another blu ray player with Netflix for the bedroom. IMO, the wireless and Netflix app is too buggy. I don't have any complaints on the blu ray function, shame it didn't work out for my needs...

maybe it's just this unit and I can try another one...
I remember having bdlive problems on the panasonic 85 player. I dont have that problem with the new 210 model. the 210 model works better then the ealier models. I am surprise to hear that you are having problems with the wireless and netflix.
