also check out bluejeanscable dot com. very reasonable and high quality cables. I have several cables from them and they are all of high quality (especially considering the price).

Ok, I switched to another HMDI cable (one from my HDDVD) and now it's flashing on and off...to gray screen and think the setup menu for about 1 second and it's pink.

My AVR supports 3D and has 3 HDMI 1.4 ports. It is a cheap one, but it supports 3D pass through. I am probably getting what I paid for: http://www.us.onkyo.com/model.cfm?m=...ss=Systems&p=i

If I end up having to send the player in or exchange it, will it be a conflict if I already cut the UPC and Serial from package to get the Avatar 3D disc?

I'm pretty sure you can't get a refund, an exchange may be an issue also since the serial number is on the box and you can't switch them out. Your best bet is to claim it as defective.

Where did you buy it? I exchanged my first 210 and will probably wait until I send off the promo on the replacement.

I bought it through Amazon.

Wow. I finally got around to trying out The Dark Knight in 2D to 3D conversion mode and all I can say is that it looks like it was professionally done (I mean professionally converted, not filmed in 3D). I only seen the bank heist bit so far and it has amazing depth. A lot better than Inception and the few other movies I tested. All I need is sound and I should be happy. Went to Radio Shack and the sales associate sold me the wrong cable (a toslink to mini toslink cable). Store is closed so I want be able to exchange until tomorrow.

Contact them and see what they say. I exchanged (as defective) my first 210 from them, had the replacement the next day and had about 30 days to return the first one, all at no cost.

I really see no way you can do it though. If it was just a UPC rather than the serial number you could just switch boxes.

The thing is I don't think it is defective. I works perfect when I plug it directly into a projector or tv. It is only when I have it going through the AVR when problems start to happen.

The only issue I have is not being able to connect to the internet, but I didn't get the player to connect to internet. I have my PS3 for that. I just need to pick up a CDR and burn the firmware update and then see if that resolves some of the issues.

I don't have any of the X-Men, but I can try Superman The Movie and I also have Batman, Batman Returns, and Batman Begins. After skimming through The Dark Knight, I notice the Imax filmed scenes did a lot better at the conversion than the other scenes.

Not as Blu-rays. Only as MKV files. Have not tested to see if you can do 2D to 3D conversion with a MKV file.

I tested Superman and it had some depth and some of the flying scenes looked good, but not as much depth as The Dark Knight.

Really doesn't matter if you think it's defective or not. I wasn't sure mine was, still exchanged it using that method. What AVR do you have?

I would grab that cdr and do that update.

Has anyone messed with AVCHD files from a camcorder? are you able to watch them on a BD-R disc? SD card? USB connected hard drive? Streamed from Windows 7?

You guys have me more and more interested in the 3D conversion.....maybe it will convert my home videos too LOL

Not really as I tried Kick-Ass an it didn't seem to have a lot of depth. I think it is just scenes with a lot of detail has more depth than scenes that do not. For example close up of faces and scenes with blurry backgrounds don't seem to have as much depth as full body shots and scenes that are completely clear. I think scenes with a lot of perspective work well.

I haven't even really tried using the 3D Effect Controller so it may help improve some of the scenes. I usually just use the 3D Effect Controller to help with crosstalk in some 3D movies.

I don't know but you can sign up for product updates on Panasonic's website. I won't assume that they will send an email when it releases, but they might.

I'm in the same boat as you...AVR only does 1.3 so I need the extra HDMI. Kudos to Panasonic for including this as an option!

After 3 weeks, I have found the 110 to be, picture quality-wise, to be as good if not better than my Oppo 83...on blu-ray and standard DVDs. Question: what settings are best for the "player set-up" mode and for the "display" mode (when the disc is playing a menu is available at the top of the picture, and it has various settings available). All I care about is the best possible picture and sound when playing a blu-ray disc in 2D and 3D. Do you need different settings for 2D and 3D? I have posted this rquest before, and I have not received any replies. Are the factory defaults the answer to my questions?

I think it's pretty much what looks best to you. I personally have left everything as is I don't want too much processing occurring. Most of the time it introduces artificial artifacts.

I prefer to make video changes with my Mits 73737.

I was looking on amazon and there specs says the 310 has one hdmi out can someone verify it has two outs?

I am looking at the 210. I do not have a 3D receiver or tv yet. Will it still work going through my Yamaha 765 with hdmi 1.3 for just blu ray right now?

Just picked up the BDT210 to replace my Bedroom Blu-Ray Player (Was a Sony BDP-470). My main reason for a new player was the netflix interface since I watch a lot of netflix. Sony has the worst interface, all it does it show you whats in your queue. This one is 100x better, more like the Xbox version where you can see new release, popular movies, recommendations etc.

I also went with the 210 over the 110 because of the wireless since I can't use a Ethernet cable where this one is located.

I've only had it for a few hrs but so far so good. The Touch Free Sensor is pretty cool, but just a gimmick, I'd rather have a button then wave my hand across the top.

Only complaint I have so far is the Net Apps load pretty slow, even loading netflix from the bottom on the remote, it almost takes a good 30-40 seconds to fully load.

Does anyone know if this player is HDMI 1.4a or is it just 1.4? Also when I first plugged it in it had a firmware update from like 1.00 to 1.4x anyone have a list of changes? Can't find them on Panasonic's webpage.

And with that, for a $180ish 3d, Wifi Blu-Ray player, its a pretty good machine so far.

You can just touch the sensor. What do you mean? 1.4 refers to HDMI. There are no other updates, don't know why they numbered it that way.
