Any idea when I stream audio from PC via dlna it is slow..
Like molasses slow.
What am I doing wrong.
BDT110. Win 7 64 bit.
Worked fine on ps3 but i had to send it in for repair so i bought the Panasonic yesterday from Amazon and got it a few minutes ago.

Wierd issue I've never encountered with any of my previous Panny players (BD35 and BD65)...
I got the BDT110 Sunday and hadn't really played any phyisical discs, just messed around with Netflix and Amazon streaming. Of course the player asked me update the firmware before I could use the VieraCast portal. I went to play a disc today and the player started to read the disc and then it just stopped and returned to the home screen, no matter the disc. I had to hard power cycle it (pull the plug) to get it to behave normally. I hope that it was just some random glitch after updating the firmware... Anyone seen anything like this?

Okay, I see that it must be bought on their website to use the code.

However, it's only $3 less than Amazon's price. I prefer Amazon and their return policy.

True, but if you get the 210, you save $13 compared to amazon.

It's not worth $13 compared to the peace of mind you get with Amazon. If you pay for shipping Amazon is usually cheaper depending where it's shipping from. I chose next day shipping and Amazon refunded the full amount due to my ongoing experience when I purchased the 210 from a third party seller.

I actually got it cheaper from Amazon, now I have go through this ordeal with what seems like a company in India to get my refund.

Well, I think my BDT210 is going back. I was watching Inglorious Basterds and I kept getting the status message: "Cannot connect to the internet for BD live" etc,etc..and there's no way to turn it off!. I don't use or care for BD live so I just set the player to prohibit internet connection for BD live and all I get is this annoying message every minunte or so!....and allowing the player to connect to the internet for BD live is not an option for me because it is slow down the player loading time and download all of those crappy trailers Universal forces on you. So, unless I have a defective unit, I am taking this back and plug my Sony S770 back in.

I'd already purchased the 210 through Amazon when I saw the post here. I then tried the code (as you can tell) on both sites. Once done correctly, the price difference, after shipping costs were added by Electric Expo, was only $3.

Dang Cortiz, I'm not looking forward to a BD live hassle. Mine will be connected to internet but I hope I don't experience a constant request for memory.

Why Panasonic chose to make the top so hideous and put in big bold letters "Touch-free sensor"? That is damn ugly. Just put a picture of a hand symbol there for the sensor or something, not plaster big bold words all over the player. The 3D logo on top is also ugly and not needed IMO.

So far, two titles I am encountering problems with so far: Inglurious Basterds and The Skeleton Key. Seems to be only with Universal titles and with the player set to prohibit internet connection for BD live.

I didn't have that issue on my Sony S770

How's that even visible unless you're standing above it? I agree it's dumb, I have my WDTV Live on one side and my Dlink switch on the other with the sensor clear in the middle.

My Onkyo has writing on the top of it also and I can't see that either.

Starting to sound like Panasonic rushed these new players to market before they worked out all the bugs. For the first time, I too am having issues with a Panasonic product. My new BDT210 has a very noisy disc drive, the front panel display is dark, and the remote misfires now and then.

Has anyone else noticed how loud these players are when the disc is spinning ? Not only loud, but an annoying high-pitch whirring sound. I never noticed any disc drive noise with my BD35.

And I can't figure out why the display is completely dark. I tried all 3 settings (auto, dim, bright) and the front display remains completely dark. I think it may have worked initially, prior to running the FW update. I may try a reset, but I'm leaning more towards just returning the player.

Bummed.

And I agree about the Touch-Free Sensor. It's nothing but a gimmick and no easier than just pressing the eject button. I turned it off. Wish Panasonic would have spent the money on better construction instead.

I had alot of problems with the older models. so yes it is a bit noisy.. but its an easier problem then say the bdlive not working. I consider it more minor.
I also had problems playing certain discs. this player played it no problem. it was the first alien movie in DTS from the 9 disc dvd set.

Hmmm, my 210 isn't having any issues. It's been playing disks with no issue that my old Samsung 1500 had trouble with. It's not loud. My complaints so far is that I don't see a way to fastforward or reverse either youtube or dlna music. Other than that, it works fine and was easy to setup.

I can confirm that this player will play the DD+ 5.1 stream from netflix.
did you try vudu DD+. you can get that with both inception and toy story 3. they have a 2 minute preview.

Same here, I was really surpised at how loud the BDT110 is compared to the BD65 and BD35 I have. It isn't really a problem sitting on the couch, but I was up next to it earlier today and was quite surprised at how much louder it is. It makes me a little bit wary.

The only time I can hear mine is when it initially spins up. Once it starts playing it is basically dead quiet.

I received my 210 today. It's connected to a LG tv via HDMI. I have a soundbar on the way, but for now the tv speakers are my only option. Tonight I watched a blu-ray disc and streamed a movie via Netflix, and with both the volume was really low. In order to hear a movie, I have to turn the volume level on my tv way higher than is needed when watching tv through my STB or playing a game on my xbox. I've tried different audio settings on the 210 and didn't see any improvement. Changing the audio setting on the tv to "cinema" helped, but only slightly. Is it normal for the volume to be so low on these units?

I do like the interface of the BDT-210. I am going to put some of my own photographs up for screensavers. I watched "Monsters" streaming on Netflix via/BDT-210 and the PQ looked great. I swear it looks better than the LG I had. I have it hardwired to the router. My only issue I guess is that when hooked up wirelessly I connect to 802.11g. I have a wireless N router. The BDT-210 pops up a warning and says you should use 802.11N. I don't know how to get it to pick up the N...

My 110 is purring like a kitten. Sent my Avatar rebate in even though I bought on 2/28, will let everyone know how that goes.

Sounds exactly like my old BD60. You can't disable BDLive without getting bombadded with the message. Not a big deal. Either unplug the internet connection or let it run. Consider most BD discs force you to watch all the trailers and previews, this is nothing.

I got my player on march 2. I sent off the rebate for avatar yesterday.

Just put my order in for BDT110 from Amazon. It is about $10 cheaper than the Sony S570 I have right now from Costco and mainly interested in Avatar 3D BD disc. Wi-fi connection is of no interest to me as I have hard wire at my TV. I'll see how this stacks up against the Sony.

Evidently, the 2D to 3D conversion DOES NOT WORK WITH CHECKERBOARD OUTPUT. One of the big reasons I wanted one.......

Ordered mine (210) early yesterday morning from buy.com . Was in my hands in just over 25 hours with FREE shipping.

Wonder if it works with the mits adapter.

I'm sure it won't. Checkerboard is checkerboard. The Panny manual itself tells you that it will not work.

Still happy with the purchase though. I can now use my Onkyo A/V for switching and have HD audio via HDMI. Now I've got the 3DA1 adapter for another source--Dish Network if they ever get onboard with 3D or Direct TV if they don't! Plus the Avatar 3D.
I thought the point of the adapter was to accept any type and the adapter converts it to CB. Right? Now the some of the sets do it without the adapter.

I send full HD 3D to my Mitsu 73738, after the FW update.

True, but mine is a 73736/2009 model. Must use the adapter OR a Panny BRP.

Now I have the adapter for another source.
